Chapter 2

“Sign all the papers in front of you.” He commanded. I sighed and closed my eyes. I need to do this, after the contract, everything will be back to normal.

I signed all the papers and gave them to him. He smirked as if he finally claims his most precious award. I can't stand the fact that I'm married now without my dream of walking down the aisle, kissing my husband. I just signed this piece of paper and I'm married now. All my hopes and dreams are shattered into pieces.

He left me dumbfounded. He already gave me his bank account and let me visit my parents but before dinner, I needed to go home. Home.. this is not home felts like.

I paid all the hospital bills and my Mom was shocked when I suddenly had money to pay all the expenses. I just assure her that everything is fine. I borrowed money from a friend.

Just like what Canon reminds me of. I get home before dinner, the maids informed me that Canon isn't home yet. So I proceed to my room and rest a bit. I heard a knock on the door, it was the maid asking me to obey her boss's request to eat dinner with him downstairs.

I can't stand seeing him around. I felt a bit awkward whenever he was around. I sat in front of him. He's just eating and he didn't even bother to look at me. I just see him as someone who forces me to do something I don't want to do in my life.

“Good evening..” I said awkwardly. My hands are shaking while saying those words. I feel so nervous when he's in front of me.

He didn't answer back, instead, he stand up and left me at the dining table. I just sighed, it's so boring. I don't know what will I do in this huge house. I can't talk to anyone here, they treat me as a ghost they will just listen to me whenever I wanted them to do something for me.

I gain all my strength and courage to knock on Canon's room. But after a few more knocks I gave up when he didn't bother to open his door for me. I sighed and feel very disappointed. He's so cold-hearted.

I was about to leave his door when I bumped into the wall. My head hurt so much, I was so nervous when I felt that the wall is breathing. I looked up to see the wall but all I saw is the dashing Prince of Disney. I'm just kidding, it's Canon. Standing in front of me as if he's a dashing prince that's willing to kiss me in my deep illusion.

The total opposite of my imagination is his reaction right now. He looks so confused about why do I even standing in front of his room, it's like I don't have any right to do so.

“I just want to talk about something,” I said. He just stared at me coldly.

“I want to apply for a job,” I said nervously.

“No.” He said with finality. My mouth gaped open. I can't believe that I can't just decide for myself. Am I being controlled by this evil hot creature?

He was about to enter his room but I block his way. I spread my arms widely and my legs are also about to split. He look at me as if I did the craziest thing that he ever saw in his entire life.

“You can't just control my life. I wanted to apply for a job and I will do it whether you like it or not!” I stuttered while saying those but I did my best to look brave. His jaw clenched and his face became dark. My hands began to shake right now.

“Then what? You will flirt with all the guys you will meet!” He shouted in my face. I step backward, I was afraid of the way he look at me. I turn my back to him and I go to my room.

I sleep feeling so down that night. The next morning, I heard a knock on my door and also the maid reminds me to eat breakfast with their boss. I just cover my ears since I don't want to see him today or the next day. I hate controlling people. They act as if they own people and the world. They don't know the value of humanity and equality. Shame on me, I married the man I despise the most.

After an hour, I heard another knock on my door but the maid didn't speak this time. I slowly open the door and I saw a tray filled with breakfast. It has coffee, fried rice, an egg, and a sandwich. I gently pick up the tray and bring it with me inside my room. The maids are so kind, they bother to bring my breakfast in here.

I spend the rest of the day, helping the maids with their household chores even though they remind me that they will be scolded by their boss. I assure them that I will just tell him that I insist. I clean the garden and rearranged the flowers by their colors.

My shirt and hands are dirty now but I don't mind. I was shocked when Canon grab my hand tightly, my hands are painful due to his hold. He looks so mad and he brought me in front of his maids.

“Who the hell makes her do the household chores?” He scolded. All of us are afraid of the sudden madness of Canon. I block his sight.

“They didn't ask me to do those, don't hurt or fire any of them. I insist on all the things I did, I felt so bored all day and I can't just stay in my room all day.” I explained.

“I left you my black card, you can just go shopping instead of acting as if you're one of the maids!” He scolded.

“There's nothing wrong with being a maid. They're doing their job to make your life easy even though they're being paid. Their job isn't something you should belittle. Lastly, I can't waste the money I do not own.” I said with finality and left him there. I just smile at his maids to assure them that everything was going to be fine before I left.
