Leaving

Parker left early this morning to meet with Kai. He didn’t say what it was about, but I presume it has something to do with Blue Lake. Reaching over, I grab my laptop from the end table. My nerves have been going haywire ever since I submitted my assignment. After logging in, I notice that I have a message from the teacher.

“I got a perfect score on my paper!” I squeal. I can’t wait to tell Parker. I put a lot of thought into my writing. They loved everything that I came up with about the struggles of our young wolves in today’s society. I felt like the research really opened my eyes and I plan on applying what I’ve learned in the classroom. Now, if I can pass my exams, I will officially be a teacher!

I look down at my round belly, rubbing gently while I speak, “Today’s going to be a good day, little peanut. I just know it,” I feel her flutter around in my stomach, surely doing little somersaults.
