Zach got shot?

Zach POV

The car was speeding down the highway, heading to my father’s mansion. I thought of going to see him since everything is looking like it’s turned upside down- Madison.

I was relaxed and content, until Adrian made an alert about the car ahead of us. I turned to my right and saw the big black jeep and my eyes caught the eyes of the driver in the car.

“Kingsley?” I thought. Kingsley had traveled and it is obvious he is back like I never expected.

Greg and his men have been trying to sabotage my men all these years and now they want a fight, there is definitely no way I would leave this vehicle without shooting any of his men.

He also looked at me in the eye, angered by my sight, Kingsley swerved his car directly into mine sending the both of spinning out of control.

“F*ck!” I heard Adrian yell.

The impact was shattering, My car immediately went stumbling and spinning around in a series of violent turns before finally crashing into the guardrail.

The sound of metal crunching against metal filled the air, and I could feel my body thrown around inside the car like a rag doll.

My head kept hitting different places in the car and I am not the only one feeling this.

The world around me became like a blur of colors and I could hear the sound of my men shouting in fear.

When the car finally came to a stop, it was in a twisted mass of steel and broken glass. I feel like I have been battered and beaten from head to toe, every inch of my body aching and bruised. I could hear the sound of my heart pounding in my ears, and I tried to breathe through the pain.

Crawling out of the car with trembling limbs, I could see my men were hurt as well. The others in the vehicle behind came to help us out of the car. They were disoriented and in shock, their eyes wide and staring. Liam that was beaten up by me got another beating today so I tried to comfort him and the rest of my men but my own pain was too much. I could feel blood dripping from my head and I can tell my injuries are severe.

“That son of a b!tch” Adrian cussed beneath his breath as he took his gun out of his pocket from behind.

A tense silence filled the air as the groups of menacing-looking men stood facing each other, each one of us clutching a variety of lethal firearms.

My eyes met with Kevin and then Kingsley walked to him with a smirk on his face, I groaned lowly.. the pain is just too much but I can’t walk out of the scene.

“Surprising isn't it?” Kevin spoke up

“Is this the way you want it?” I managed to say

“You bastards will die here” Liam groaned angrily. Kevin gritted his teeth as he prepared to give the signal for his men to attack. I know this fight isn't going to be an easy fight- it is very obvious that Greg’s men have been growing stronger and more aggressive.

Suddenly, a volley of gunfire erupted from the other side of the street, catching me and my men off guard. They scrambled to return fire, ducking behind parked cars and our vehicles as bullets whizzed overhead.

But Adrian was quick to react. He emerged from cover, his trusty Glock 19 in hand and started picking off the enemy one by one with deadly precision. The rest of my men railed around Adrian, heir weapons blazing as they pushed forward, their eyes bright with adrenaline-fueled fury.

For a brief moment, it seemed like we might actually come on top. But then, as if from nowhere, a hail of gunfire rained down from above.

My heart sank as I realized that Greg's men had stationed snipers on the rooftops and none of my men had noticed.

Ducking behind a nearby dumpster, I tried to catch my breath as I saw few of my men falling. I have to do something fast. I darted out from cover, launching myself one of the snipers from the car boot.

After taking about three men down, I turn around to see kingsley smiling at me and that was all,

I heard the sound of a gunshot.

Madison POV

I am at the hospital already, after Kingsley left my house, I had some time alone with myself and I must say, I clearly did nothing wrong by sending him out of my house.

If anyone else were to be in my shoes, he or she could probably have done more than I did.

Kingsley is beginning to give me bad vibes I don’t like at all. I hate that I am suspecting my own cousin as being part of a Mafia group.

I was pleasantly surprised when Zach didn’t barge into my office this afternoon. I guess now he is finally catching a hint.

I am going to spend the rest of the day here, I don’t want to go home and see Kingsley neither see Zach or any of his men.

Krystal barged into my office immediately with dread in her eyes.

“Madison, you’ve got to see this” she said panting.

My eyebrow furrows, something is definitely wrong.

I got up from my seat as she pulled me along with her, “What's wrong?” I ask but she doesn’t answer. She yanks my arm and kept pulling me with her to the hallway. She stopped and turned around and I did so too.

My eyes went wide and teary at what I saw. “Is that?” I gasped

“Yes, it’s Zach Westley.” Krystal confirms and my stomach drops. I covered my mouth with my palm as tears streamed up my eyes. Blood floods the floor as Zach suffered from three gunshots, two around his abdomen and one around his arm.

He wasn’t rushed alone into the hospital on a stretcher, but other of his men except Zane.

“What the hell happened?” I cried lowly as I took my hands off Krystal's grip and ran to the stretcher.
