Chapter 10 - Home or something like it.

Leah’s POV

After our visit to the kitchens, I wanted to go up to my room to unpack, only to be reminded that I wouldn’t have a moment’s peace since I would be in Eli’s room and he would be there. The. Entire. Damn. Time. As we walked into the room, a young omega appeared and I remembered the girl from when I was still living in the orphanage. She smiled brightly and bowed her head as I walked past and I heard a hissing sound coming from across the passage right before the door slammed shut. I couldn’t stop the giggle that escaped as we walked into the room.

Eli’s mate’s scent was thick in the air and I would bet my life that she had sprayed it over everything before she left the room. I pretended to cough profusely and the omega rushed to open the windows. I showed her what I wanted where and another problem came up.
