Chapter 144.

Scarlett's POV

The night got thicker, and Timber North was still in my room. I should probably let him ruin me so we wouldn't have to get married anymore.

I was ready to take desperate measures to save myself. Timber North sat opposite me, letting his eyes run through my body. That was probably the millionth time he was doing it that night.

“What are you doing here, Timber?” I asked, and he scoffed.

“It's tradition for the husband and wife to be wedded to spend the night in the same room before the wedding day.” He said with a smirk, and my head ached horribly.

“Are you sure you want to get married to me?” I asked, hoping that he'd just cancel out of the blue. Although I knew it wouldn't happen, I couldn't let myself not wonder.

“It's too late to try to escape.” Timber chuckled. I hissed as it was already even too late from the beginning.
