Chapter 25

Scarlett's POV

I spent the night laughing with Michelle. We made sure not to make so much noise. One of my favourite parts was mocking Alpha Harry.

“Bro was literally dumbfounded that we had him so good.” I laughed.

“He's hot, though.” Michelle rolled her eyes.

“Girl, you're really going to get on with that guy?” I asked, shaking my head.

“Kinda.” She shrugged. “If the circumstances we're different, but he's gay, and he's trying to fuck your ass.”

“Why didn't Seth say he was messing with an Alpha teacher?” I asked, rolling on the bed.

Michelle hissed, and then held my hand.

“He actually mentioned it, but I was just very in need of the break that it didn't matter.” Michelle muttered.

“Girl, you should have told me still.” I said, yanking my hand off hers. “It'd have been good to know. I was literally just kept in the dark.” I hissed.

“I'm sorry girl. I had too many thoughts in my head.” Michelle said, pulling me in.

“I'm not mad.” I shrugged, smiling at her. She grabbed my waist and gently pulled me closer to herself. She lowered her head, and kissed me softly.

“Oh girl, I've missed those kisses.” I chuckled, kissing her back. We kissed for a minute before disengaging.

“I'm scared for my future mate.” Michelle laughed.

“Why?”

“How would he feel when he sees me kissing you?” We laughed.

That was all we had done; kiss. It had never gone beyond that. We are both straight, and Michelle is on the lookout for a man.

Michelle rebraided my hair, and trimmed my edges. I was already giving out the feminine energy that I had locked in. First of all, Franklin made me feel very safe, and made me even wear female clothes. And now, Michelle was just doing her thing.

I told her all about Franklin, and she giggled.

“What if he's really ugly when he shifts back to his human state?” Michelle asked. “That's if you're successful with it.”

I rolled over on the bed, holding my stomach for support.

“There's this way he talks, and hovers when he's being assertive and dominant that just assures me that he's breathtakingly hot.” I said, thinking about Franklin. I bit my lower lip despite the blood rush to my head. My veins were already popping out, so I had to sit up.”

“You sound like you're into him.” Michelle teased me.

“Well, he's my mate.” I shrugged, as that was the only sensible response to what was going on with me.

“What happens if he doesn't shift?” Michelle asked, being unexpectedly pessimistic.

I sighed, bothered by the question.

“Well… I guess we'll never find out.” I shrugged.

We slept off a while later.

The next day came, and I had no more cramps. Thankful to be done with it, I was back to being a boy.

The competition started, and I was also on the team as a second team. Their questions were very easy, and of the four wings of the kingdom, we were trailing behind the first with just a few points. The North was leading as expected.

“Now, the second teams will take over in the final lap.” They announced unexpectedly.

Alpha Harry gasped as it wasn't expected. He had put me on the team, thinking I was his little sexual getaway, but he was probably wrong, and maybe I'd prove it.

We circled around Alpha Harry as he advised us.

“They're doing the second team play, and the North definitely has a strong second team.” He said.

“And we are just five points behind the North, which is just one question, and one bonus question.” Madame Lucia said.

I sighed, looking at Michelle who had gotten all her questions right. I looked over at Thane, and he seemed locked in, just not on Alpha Harry. His eyes were in the public, and when I looked over, I saw his girlfriend, Rose.

I hissed softly. Rose had come as a student, not as part of the competition.

“So, I'll need you to take every question seriously, and also, I'll need you to keep quiet if you don't know the answers to any of the questions.” Alpha Harry said, specifically looking at me for the last part of his statement.

I scoffed, and the bell rang before he could say anything more.

We sat on the podium, ready to be asked the questions that'd go randomly to anyone.

“In what year did the wolf kingdom separate?” The Host asked. I had tapped my ring before he was even done with the question. “Okay, and there'd be an additional two marks if you state the reason.”

I smiled as I could get us to level with the North.

“1892. And the wolf Kingdom firstly separated into three; The North, South, and West. They separated because the North and South had different values. They were constantly waging war, until they separated. The West didn't want a part in the war, so they stayed out of it.” I said, swallowing down hard. “Then in 1900, the North being the biggest, broke into two again, and the East gave way, also because of the same reason the separation occurred.”

“Damn!” The host exclaimed. “Five points to the South!”

I could see Alpha Harry nodding, acting like he wasn't impressed by what I had just done. Michelle on the other hand, was screaming for victory. Thane had his eyes on me like he was watching my every move, and that was a little creepy.

The questions went on and on and on, and we were finally down to the last question. We were a point behind the North which would have been different if the others had just let me answer our questions.

“Now to the final question.” The host muttered. “If the south have this question, they might have a fighting chance, but if any others have it, the North wins.”

I wasn't sure why he was announcing it to us like we couldn't see it already on the dashboard.

“What is the most feared creature in the wolf Kingdom?” He asked, and just before I could hit the pin, a member of the Northern team hit it.

I hissed in pain. The disappointment that came with us being able to win was very horrible.

“The Kiliva lion.” He answered wrongly to my amazement.

“Wrong! Bonus?”

I hit my ring, speaking up immediately. “The dragon of the West, also known as The Beast of the West, also known as the forerunner of the goddess , and is said to be alive till date.” I said, breathing heavily.

“Correct!” He said, and I screamed. “The South wins the 26th Edition of the Wolf Academies Competition.”

The jubilation that came with winning was intense. We had a party after, and Alpha Harry might have whispered words of thanks to me. During this whole time, Thane was nowhere to be found. Not even Rose knew where he was. I guess he was too used to being the wonder boy, that my little win annoyed him.

“I'll be back, I need to pee.” I whispered to Michelle who nodded at me.

I rushed to the room, still reeling from the effects of being a champion.

I hurriedly peed, and I sat on the bed for a while, articulating my thoughts.

There was a knock on the door, and I hurriedly checked it out. I was hoping it wouldn't be Alpha Harry, because there might be no way of escape for me.

“Thane?” I muttered, clearly taken aback. I opened the door , and he disrespectfully waltzed in.

“Seth.” He muttered, turning to look at me. I closed the door gently. “Congratulations on today.” He said.

“Oh , seriously?!” I rolled my eyes. “Where have you been all day?”

“Speaking with the students of the other regions.” Thane muttered. He elaborated more when he saw how confused I was. “I'm an Alpha in training, so I need to have several people in every part of the world, especially when I have to be a regional Alpha soon.”

“That makes sense. You could have just told us that.” I hissed.

“Alpha Harry knows.” Thane shrugged again.

“Whatever.” I rolled my eyes, about to walk back to the bed.

I had barely moved a step when he walked really close to me. I remained pinned to the wall, noticing the proximity that was between us.

“Erm… why… why…” I swallowed hard, “why are you here?”

Thane bit his lower lip. I forced my gaze down to avoid melting. My selfwill drained itself as he gently raised his hand to my chin. He slowly raised my head till our eyes met.

He grabbed my waist slowly, and then pulled me close.

“Are you gay all of a sudden?” I asked, confused.

“No, I'm not.” Thane whispered, slowly lowering his head to my neck. I shuddered as his hot breath pressed against my skin.

“Then… then… why… why…” I stuttered, unable to articulate my thoughts.

Thane's hand moved from my waist slowly to my back, and I was still stiff. I didn't know what to do. Somehow, I enjoyed it. He held my back, and then pulled me close.

“You're not a guy, are you?” Thane asked, striking fear in my heart. I hurriedly pushed him back, feeling my heart thump really fast. I hated it that he could hear my heartbeat and also catch me in a lie.

“I… I…” I stuttered. “I don't know what sort of twisted idea you have, but please, restrain from spreading fake news.”

“Why are you worried about me spreading it if it's not true?” Thane asked, walking closer to me again. “Your stench is weird, and you never walk shirtless like everyone else.”

Fuck! He knows! And he's sure!

“Thane… you came in to seduce me, and now you're accusing me of…”

Out of nowhere, Michelle opened the door. I heaved a sigh of relief, thankful that she was there to the rescue. She looked at Thane with confused eyes, and then turned back to look at me.

“Seth…” Michelle muttered, and I knew there was trouble. My already thumping heart increased its pace.

“Your mom is here.” She said through a mind link.
