LOGINSeeing the headlines, Elaine sneered as she had not thought that Rosa would let go of such an opportunity. Seeing there were signs of Travis spending the night with another woman, how could her sister let go of such a good opportunity to show off and get the resources she had always wanted? However, she knew that this must have had something to do with Travis, who didn’t want her to know that he was cheating on her; sadly, she already knew.
“Elaine?” Travis called when he got home, but all he was met with was silence.
He walked to their room and saw that all her clothes were gone, causing his eyes to turn cold. He went to the surveillance room to watch what had happened the previous night. Seeing him making meals and decorating the house for his birthday, his expression softened, but then he saw that all that had changed when she talked with someone on a call.
He watched her waiting for him before seeing her started to cry when she received something on her phone. He halted the video and zoomed it, but it wasn’t clear. He saw her leaving with a man, and he found it unbelievable.
Taking his phone, wanting to call his secretary, he saw a deleted call log. His phone was designed so that if someone deleted anything, he would still see it. When he saw whose call and the time, he froze as he started to understand what had happened. He even suspected that whatever Elaine had received was from Rosa, but sadly, he didn’t have any evidence proving that. He clenched the phone in his hands before walking out of the room, convinced that Elaine would come back as she loved him so much.
“Mr Parker,” someone called him as he was descending the stairs, startling him, and he looked at the intruder coldly.
“And you are?” he asked coldly.
“My name is Evan Lee. Mrs Elaine Parker’s lawyer. I am here to send you the divorce agreement. Please go through it very quickly and sign them. My client doesn’t want anything from you, which makes things easier,” the man said, shocking Travis, and he stared at the brown envelope that he was being handed before he took a step back.
“No! I won’t sign it. Where is she?” he asked coldly and loudly as he looked at the envelope in disgust.
“Mr Parker, if I were you, I would sign the agreement. My client doesn’t want anything to do with you, so kindly please don’t search for her. In the future, when you see her, don’t even think of going near her,” the lawyer said sharply, making Travis stare at the man.
He could tell that he was no ordinary man, but he wondered how Elaine could afford such a lawyer when she didn’t even leave with any of the cards he had given him. Also, the Sawyers wouldn’t even allow her to divorce him. However, he then fell silent as he remembered that Rosa was that family’s favorite, thus they might still be looking forward to his divorcing his wife, their less favored daughter, to marry his favorite daughter. Thinking of all these, he sneered.
“Go tell the Sawyers that if I divorce Elaine, then all the cooperation will be terminated. Also, they should never think that Rosa will become my wife. She is a home-wrecker!” Travis said, and the man scoffed.
“You are wrong, Mr Parker, I wasn’t sent by that family. I am even hearing of them from you? If you know what’s good for you, then sign the divorce agreement, and then send it to me. I think you can find out about me,” the lawyer said before taking Travis's hand by force and placing the envelope in his hands.
Travis' eyes darkened when he saw that and admitted that the man must not have been sent by the Sawyers, as they wouldn’t have the guts to treat him that way. However, he was so curious to know who that man was, as he really had guts and was so strong. He didn’t want to brag, but he was one of the strongest in the city, but couldn’t say that when it came to other cities or even most, the capital, where all phoenixes and dragons.
The man gave him one good look and sneered, “You were never good enough for her. We all don’t get why she chose you when she had better options, but its okay now. You cheated remember that, you don’t deserve her or her love,” the man said before turning around leaving a pale Travis.
From the man’s words, he understood that Elaine had already known what had happened at night. His eyes turned cold as he couldn’t believe that he had let that family bully her, and he had promised that he would always be at her side. His eyes became watery, but he was too stubborn to shed tears. He took the divorce agreement and went through it, then sighed before returning it to the envelope.
He went and placed it in his safe to keep it safe, as to him, that was the only thing that Elaine had left to him, and he wasn’t going to sign it no matter what.
“Did you investigate what happened yesterday?” he asked his secretary, who had called him.
“Sir, I have looked at it, but there isn’t anything. It seems that Miss Sawyer did something when she got to the room,” the secretary said apologetically, but to Travis, it was an excuse.
If they all looked for excuses about what happened the previous night, then who would bring his wife back?
“That’s just an excuse, go pack and go to Africa for the ongoing project. Ask Isaac to come back as soon as possible,” he said, then hung up his call as he didn’t want to hear him anymore.
The man on the other side paled when he heard that, but he understood why. He had worked with Travis for a long time and knew how he treasured his wife, so how could he believe that that had happened? He thought of something and shamelessly called once more, even risking his punishment being added.
“What do you want? Haven’t I made myself clear?” Travis asked coldly immediately he picked up the call.
“Sorry, boss. But I have a suggestion on that matter,” the secretary said nervously, but Travis remained silent, making the guy sigh in relief as taking it as a go-ahead.
“Sir, hasn’t Miss Sawyer always portrayed herself as innocent? If something really happened yesterday and she lost her virginity, there would have been blood, but did you say any blood upon waking up?” the secretary asked, stunning Travis, who had not thought of any of that.
“Sir, I guess your silence means no. Then that could prove that either nothing happened yesterday or she isn’t as innocent as she portrays,” the secretary.
“That woman schemed against me, and you think that she is innocent? Of course she isn’t, but how does that matter?” Travis asked coldly.
“Sir, what if we take her to be tested to determine whether something happened yesterday or if your fluids are in her? Won’t that answer our question whether you really cheated or not? That way, won’t you have evidence to give the madam?” the secretary asked. Even though Travis didn’t tell him anything, he knew that there might be a storm in that house.
“I think they should be reported to the police. However, I recalled that you are a family thus came here. My decision is that they stay away from our company and repay all the money they owe us in a month. Failure to do that, they shouldn’t blame me for being ruthless, reporting them to the police,” Elaine said calmly but Mrs Sawyer’s eyes darkened. As their sister, how could she not know how her family had used the money. Her eldest brother had used the money to open a company that had already taking shape. By doing this, didn’t it mean that the company would soon be closed?“Grandma, dad, do you have any issue with my decision?” Elaine turned to the two and asked them as she wanted to see their decision. However, she was disappointed after waiting for a minute without receiving any answer. Rosa and her mother gave Elaine a smug but Elaine wasn’t so bothered.“If you can’t decide then I will call for a shareholders meeting in the afternoon and they vote for my answer. You shouldn’t t

When she went to her office, she chuckled feeling that things were interesting. She took the folders which had the document of the project that she had been tod that her father was the one who had chosen them, took her handbag and walked out.“I am stepping out for a while. I will be back in two hours. If someone looks for me, tell them to wait for me,” She told her assistant who nodded.“Miss, are you sure that you don’t want me to accompany you?” the secretary asked and Elaine shook her head.“I am definitely sure that there are some people who will come to cause chaos after they receive the company’s email. I need you to be here to keep order so that they can’t disturb the other workers working,” Elaine said before walking away.“Miss, where are we going?” the driver asked as he opened the door for her.“The Sawyers mansion. Hurry up,” she said making the driver frown and nervous. Her words made him misunderstand as he thought that something had happened there.A drive that was sup
“Miss, can you tell us more?” someone asked excitedly.“I saw that there was a land that was bought. We can build a five or six star hotel there. If we manage building a six star, it would be the first six star hotel in our city and most visitors would always prefer to go there. I also that was bought ten years ago with the intention of building an amusement park but can’t cause there is a school nearby. We can build apartments. The students and teachers can be renting there. As for the amusement park, we can build it in the land that was meant to build the apartments. It is at the center of the city making it an ideal place,” Elaine explained to them but mentioned just the vacant lands that she had seen.“But we don’t have enough money,” Cindy said.“Yes but we can look for collaborators. We aren’t in those industries to being with thus we can collaborate with a company that is that industry,” Elaine said.“Do you suggest that we collaborate with the Parkers?” someone asked and Elain
When Uncle Max arrived, he together with Evona arranged everything. All this time, Elaine was in the conference room working on the employees report. She wanted to see the employees who were lazy and rarely came for her. She was astonished with what she discovered. She felt awful. All this time, she had always thought that it was because her father didn’t have the capability to lead the company to higher levels but never expected that in the company, her stepmother had employed all her family members. They didn’t even come to work, they held important positions but stayed at home to wait for their salaries as if they were waiting for dividends. She sneered thinking that her father really loved the woman. When she looked at the reports for the projects that the company held, she discovered that all projects were important and could make high profits but the company didn’t have money. Those people had all embezzled large amounts of money. Because of this, all the projects were set aside
“No, that can’t be!” her father said loudly and coldly making her grandma snort when she saw her father’s reactions.“Why can’t it be? Don’t forget that we never knew of that woman’s family. Because she never mentioned it and claimed that she didn’t recall, we went ahead believing that she was an orphan. What if she wasn’t an orphan? What if her family are from the capital? What if she went back after divorcing?” Old Mrs Sawyer asked her son multiple questions at the same time when she saw how he was deny everything.“But mom, she would never have lied to me, right? She respected her husband and mother-in-law so much,” Mr Sawyer said uncertainly while his mother nodded at that.“Yes, she respected us but it had to be with a limit. When she realized that we look down on her cause she was an orphan, what if she got back her memories and didn’t tell us? What if by the time she was getting the memories, she already knew that you had another family outside?” the woman asked making the man
