"You can go see him now, he's sleeping," The doctor said. "But he will..."

Amanda didn't wait for the doctor to finish, she ran out of the office, running upstairs to the room she knew Alex was in. She stopped before the door breathing heavily, trying to calm herself down, she rubbed her palms behind her jeans.

"Ok," she said to herself moving forward to open the door. Alex was sleeping like the doctor had said, he had a bandage round his forehead and few bruises over his face, which had now been plastered.

She walked over standing before him, then sat down in the armchair beside the bed. "He's sleeping, I will wait."
