Leilani-
“Are you there?” I asked aloud, forgetting I could talk to my wolf in my head.
“Yes, I am.” She replied, giving me a sense that she was smiling.
“What is your name?” I asked.
Bringing my legs onto the seat, I sat cross-legged, while turning to keep an eye on Eric. I wasn’t sure what I could do for him, since no one else seemed concerned about it. I learned about wolfbane in school, but not how to treat it.
“Violet.”
I echoed her name in my mind a few times, thinking it was a beautiful name. It was also the color of my eyes, which seemed fitting. Thinking of my next question, I began to play with the ends of my hair.
“Why are you just now coming out? I thought I was cursed. You being here doesn’t make any sense.” I twirled my hair around the tip of my index finger as I waited for her to reply.
“With any magic, nothing is what it seems. I was t
Leilani- Arriving at the pack, we were greeted by the Alpha himself. He was around Eric’s age and they seemed to be good friends. I wasn’t sure what to think about him, since he kept glancing at me as if he were trying to figure me out. “Oh, by the way, this is Leilani, the girl I was telling you about.” Eric said halfway through their conversation about how long it has been since they saw each other last. I hadn’t even realized he hadn’t introduced me, but the moment he did the expression on the Alpha’s face changed. As if recognition hit him, his eyes widened in surprise as a large smile appeared on his face. He was a handsome guy, but not in the way Eric was. “It is nice to finally meet you. You can call me Kellan.” Kellan held out his hand to me, but I just looked at it as if it were a foreign object. Slowly he pulled back his hand and his smile faded slightly. I hadn’t meant to offend him, I just didn’t like the way he had been staring at me. It wa
Eric-When we left Kellan’s place, we headed back to Black Fang. Instead of stopping anywhere, we drove straight through. The entire drive, Leilani wouldn’t say a word.Every time I had asked a question, she would just shrug. We were just about to pull into the garage, and I was getting frustrated. What happened in California had to have bothered her, I know it did me.I hated that she wasn’t talking to me since I knew whatever she was thinking about was weighing heavy on her mind. Pulling into the garage, I parked the car and turned off the engine. Neither of us made an attempt to get out of the car.“Do you want to talk about it?” I asked, turning towards her so I could see her better.Once again, she shrugged, which only pissed me off. It wasn’t that I was even mad at her, I was mad at what she has been through to cause her to be like this. With a heavy sigh, I got out of the car.I didn’t wait fo
Leilani-I had thought I could get into my room undetected. When Tate had come up behind me, he scared the living daylights out of me. At first, I had thought it had been Eric and he had caught me when I had been eavesdropping on his conversation with the Luna.Luckily it had only been Tate, who had wanted to make me an official member of the pack. After I accepted the pack as my own, he went on his way, leaving me alone. Not wanting Eric to find me, I made my way to my room and closed myself in.My heart felt like it was beating a million beats a second. I couldn’t believe what I had heard. Brook was basically telling Eric to just sign a contract with me and wait for things to work out. I remember what his reason was for wanting to sign the contract, but now it was different. Was I merely a means to an end for him? Was it really a mess that he had a contract with me? And what did she mean for him to face the music? Pacing in my room, I froze when I
Eric-“Maybe she meant when we finish the mate bond?” I asked, just before I lowered my head to lightly nibble on her neck, where my mark will go.To my surprise, she responded by emitting a soft moan. Finally, I could have what my brother has with his mate. I knew it wouldn’t be the same exactly, but I was sure I would be happy regardless.“You mean by having sex?” She purred as I continued to nibble on her neck.I couldn’t help by wonder if it was her that was responding to me, or the mate pull. As mates, it shouldn’t matter, but it did slightly. I wanted her to be wanting this of her own volition.“Yes, but I mean by claiming you fully as mine.” I pulled back from her neck to look her in the eyes. “Only if you want to and are ready.” I added.I studied her, trying to get a read on what was going through her head. I didn’t want her to agree to it if she wasn’t on
Leilani-I have read in books, that I would feel pain for the first time, but all I felt was a pleasure. It was so intense, that I felt as if I was floating. Suddenly I felt a presence in my mind, possibly my wolf but I was too engrossed in Eric that I didn’t bother asking.Wrapping my legs around his waist, I needed to feel him deeper. I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing right now. All I could do was lay here and hold on to him as if my life depended on it. My life did feel like it depended on it since each thrust he made into me made me as if I was going higher and higher into the clouds. My hands found their way to his back, wrapping around him as if they really needed to hold on. It was almost like my mind has been sucked into oblivion. I couldn’t even formulate a proper thought or idea.I could hear moans filling the room, but it had taken me a bit to realize I was the one making them. Eric pulled his lips away from mine, causin
Leilani-Waking up the next morning, I realized I had fallen asleep on Eric’s bed. I didn’t remember much after he marked me, in fact, I don’t even remember falling asleep. The last thing I remember was sitting on top of him still, just having come down from a sexual high.I remembered thinking I was feeling happy that I was no longer alone, then nothing after that. There had to be more that happened. I mean I was wearing a shirt that was probably ten times too big for me.I was also tucked up against Eric as he slept soundly. At least I was pretty sure he was still sleeping from the light snoring that was coming from him. When had I put on his shirt or even laid down?Remembering I felt my wolf last night, I searched my mind to try to see if I could reach her. I still wasn’t sure how it all worked if I had to reach out to her or if she was supposed to be there. Now that I knew I had a wolf, there had to be a way to reach her.
Eric-“Damnit, Eric! Put me down!” Leilani shouted for probably the tenth time today, since leaving the pack doctor.I didn’t care, I wasn’t taking any chances. She said she was feeling dizzy, so I didn’t want her to faint on me and not be able to catch her again. Plus, I didn’t want her using up all her energy if I was perfectly capable of carrying her.It wasn’t like she was heavy or anything, she practically weighed next to nothing with how small she was. There was possibly a chance I was feeling overprotective right now because I blamed myself for her condition. Before I had marked her she had been fine. Not even seconds after I fully claimed her as mine, did she pass out on top of me. I should have known then there was something wrong. Maybe I could have prevented things from getting worse. After she had passed out, I laid her down and stepped away from her to grab one of my shirts. She hadn’t th
Eric- “You don’t understand, I need my coven with me.” Cordelia tried to reason. “Then bring them here, but unless you want another war on your hand, you will refrain from using your powers against my pack.” Tate’s Alpha voice came out, although it would hold no effect on Cordelia. Her eyes moved to Tate as she spoke but quickly returned to Brook. It was fleeting, but I recognized the fear in her eyes when Brook moved slightly. I knew Brook was special, because of who her father was, but why would a witch be afraid of her? It wasn’t like Brook was part witch or anything. Granted her bloodline was blessed by the Moon Goddess, granting her special abilities. Nothing magical as far as I knew though. Feeling like Brook was going to be a big use against the witches, I stepped closer to Brook. As if Cordelia knew something the rest of us didn’t, she stood down and lifted her hands in front of her. At first, I thought she was going to attack, but she
