When we left Kellan’s place, we headed back to Black Fang. Instead of stopping anywhere, we drove straight through. The entire drive, Leilani wouldn’t say a word.

Every time I had asked a question, she would just shrug. We were just about to pull into the garage, and I was getting frustrated. What happened in California had to have bothered her, I know it did me.

I hated that she wasn’t talking to me since I knew whatever she was thinking about was weighing heavy on her mind. Pulling into the garage, I parked the car and turned off the engine. Neither of us made an attempt to get out of the car.

“Do you want to talk about it?” I asked, turning towards her so I could see her better.

Once again, she shrugged, which only pissed me off. It wasn’t that I was even mad at her, I was mad at what she has been through to cause her to be like this. With a heavy sigh, I got out of the car.

Leilani is such a pathetic person with constant excuses for her negative thoughts regarding everything and everyone. She wants to perceive herself as strong, but she's weak as she has more excuses for y she can't speak her mind or y she treats other people with disrespect. Even bullies have excuses.

they need to just tell each other! I love the story, but then they could be honest with each other and break the curse!
