XXVI. Vamoose

Rhea woke up without the feeling of warmth around her, she moved to Jason's side of the bed, moving her arms on the bed, hoping to feel the warm body that she had gone to bed with. When it became increasingly obvious that he wasn't there, she opened her eyes, rubbing her fists on her eyes, as though to remove sleep from her heavy eyes.

Her chest was burning, a tell tale of heartburn, another glorious thing that came with the pregnancy, she sat up with a groan opening her eyes slowly, while cracking her neck, she felt so sore, and in so many places.

"Jason!" She cried out, when he didn't answer she assumed that he had gone downstairs for breakfast, after all the sun was already out, using all of her energy, she stood up and made her way out of the room and downstairs, shouting Jason's name as she did.

I can't believe he left me alone to eat, she thought to herself.
