With birds chirping outside and the reflection of sunlight through the window, Adams opened his eyes as he woke up from his drunken sleep. He recalled all that happened previously from the argument to how he found himself in his house. He owed Topaz an explanation and he felt guilty for his behaviour towards her yet she was still very caring and patient with him, trying to give him some space while trying to figure out what was going on with him. He remembered having too much to drink hence he forgot what happened during the rest of the night.
