Chapter 3. Isabella.

POV Eric Lafallete.

Being able to talk to Isabella again makes me feel calmer. I know I screwed up. I left her for Juliette, but it was a mistake. Isabella was the one I loved, and it caused problems in our relationship. I didn’t want to assume anything about Isabella and me, because she always clarified that we were just friends. She always put me in the friend-zone whenever I tried to take things further.

I was deeply disappointed when I turned eighteen and realized that she was not my destined mate... Even my wolf remembers it and complains... Giving me a big headache! Anouk, my black wolf, is… Hum… how to put it in nice words… He's an acquired taste. You must know him to know that he is a great romantic, with a distinctive sense of humor, who speaks as if he were born in New Jersey.

He said, “Hey! I told you not to stay away from Isabella and that being with Juliette was a bad idea! but you never listen, you damn idiot! When you understand that there is no one like her, the truth is... She is our Luna; she is the light that illuminates our path. I think it would be an excellent idea, one of the best I've ever had, to tell her the truth, that once she turns eighteen and if she still hasn't found her fated mate, we can take her as our chosen mate!”

I replied annoyed, “Wow! What a great idea! As if Isabella hasn't put us in the friendship zone a thousand times! Damn I can't believe you're going to be the next Alpha... You look like a lapdog.”

And there I saw him. Rolling his eyes and turning around with his tail high, getting lost in the confines of my mind.

But I know Anouk is right... I have always loved her, for as long as I can remember... I am drawn to her like a moth to the light... She illuminates everything. I honestly don't care if she has a wolf or not... I just want to be there for her, take care of her, coddle her... Aaww... If only she would give me a chance, I know I would make her happy. She would never lack anything. Not only did I love her, but the whole pack loves her. She would be a formidable Luna and I know that she would be a wonderful mate.

Beeeeeee - Beeeeeeee (car horn sound)

“Come on, hurry up, Eric, I don't have all day! And I refuse to be late because of you!” Says Isabella.

And that's as far as my dream state of what my perfect life would be like. “I'm coming Isa! Take it easy!” I said. Then, I get on her beetle, while she looks at me saying “Why did it take you so long? I have never been late like that!”

“Seriously, you don't want to know.” I tell her, moving my eyebrows in a playful and suggestive way.

She replied, “YUG! Disgusting! Too much information! I didn't want to know that much! We're not intimate enough to share that!”

“You asked!” I tell her, moving my hands.

“I really do hope you've at least washed your hands,” she says.

“First of all, I am a spotless man, princess.” I replied.

She said, “Haha so funny!” and then whitens her eyes.

Before I knew it, Isabella led us to the school. We got out of the car and walked to my first class. Isabella shared almost all of them with me. Sophia and Marcos join us, who are our group of friends.

“Hey guys, I want to talk to you, can that be?” I tell them both.

“What? weren't you popular enough to spend time with us? Or are you already bored of your girlfriend's empty head?” Sophia says.

“It's okay, I deserve it.” I replied.

Sophia looks at me with her eyes shining with anger, as she says “Oh no, dude. You have no idea what you deserve. I'm just getting started!”

Isabella approaches Sophia standing in front of her and hugs her, immobilizing her while saying “Leave him alone, Sophia. Juliette cheated on him with Mathias. That's punishment enough for him. He only needs us. Give him a break!”

“Is that right?” Marcos asks, with his gaze fixed on me, extremely worried.

I look at them all with my eyes wide open. I sigh and answer, “Well, yes. I saw them making out outside Juliette's house. Remembering the scene makes me want to throw up.” I said.

“And what did you do?” Sophia asks, with genuine curiosity in her voice.

“What was I supposed to do? I roared with anger and helplessness. And then I punched Mathías in the face, breaking his nose. I left there with Julie behind me. She shouted things, she cried, but I didn't pay attention. I got in the car and went straight home. Then, I stayed in the kitchen, lost in my thoughts, when Isabella came down and from there, we stayed talking and clarifying things.” I explain.

“Dude, you have our forgiveness.  No bitch has the right to treat you like trash. You are our future Alpha. I respect you!”

“Yes Eric, Sophia is right. Not worth it. She's not worth it. Better forget about her and let´s go to class. I don't want Mrs. Ortega skinning me alive for being late,” says Marcos.

“Yes, you're right. We better let´s go”, I said. We are arriving at Spanish class, when Juliette stops us by standing in front of all of us.

“Not even a day has passed, and you already changed me for this bitch?” says Juliette.

“Back off Julie if you don't want me to make a scene,” I tell her.

“Eric honey, can we talk?” she said.

I angrily replied, “NO!" I roared in such a way that Juliette looked at me scared. Then I add, "I told you last night Juliette. I don't want to see you again. You ruined it! And by the Goddess believe me when I tell you, NO MORE!”

“Yeah! Go away bitch! Run away after your cousin! How disgusting is that!” Sophia says disdainfully.

And that's when I didn't see Juliette again for the rest of the day...

“Damn, Eric, remind me not to cross you when you're in a bad mood!” Isabella says.

“You know very well that I would never talk to you like that,” I replied.

“Really?” she asks with her eyebrow raised.

“Ha! Shut up!” I said.

“Okay, okay, let's go to class,” she says with a smile.

The morning passed very quickly. Without realizing it, it's time to go train.

Training is mandatory in the pack. Regardless of gender or age, everyone must be able to defend themselves in both human and wolf form. Generally, the training sessions are two hours long. One as a human and the other as a wolf.

Isabella only participates in the first half, due to her lack of wolf. So, I watch her go to sit in the stands while she doesn't take her eyes off me and watches me take off my clothes to transform. Hum... I'm intrigued... very intrigued.
