POV. Isabella Di'Giotanno
A month later…
I woke up with a gasp, bathed in sweat. This nightmare was more real than the others. I dreamed that fire destroyed everything. Rogues attacked us from all sides, and the pack fought fiercely while I watched the pack house burn to ashes. I could see how our alpha died, along with our Luna. Anouk, Eric's wolf, ran, killing everything in front of him. Goddess! Stop sending me those nightmares! It's not the first time I've dreamed things like this, but in the last year, they have intensified. They haven't come true, so at least I'm calm. It is likely that it is the effect of my very active imagination.
I got up, went downstairs, and headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. When I turned on the light, I almost screamed when I saw Eric sitting in the dark.
"What the fuck Eric! What are you doing there in the dark? You look like a vampire with glowing eyes. You almost scared me to death!" I tell him panting.
"Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!” Raises his hands in surrender.
"What are you doing here, anyway? Something happened to you. Why aren't you sleeping?"
He looks at me strangely and then replies sarcastically. “As if you actually care! Stop pretending, Isabella. There’s no need to pretend to care about me.”
I frown, annoyed, as I answer, "Don't be unfair, Eric. You didn't want to be my friend anymore since you were dating Julie... Don't you remember the conversation and how hard you were with me?"
He gets angry while answering me desperately, "I know, I know, I screw up, okay?"
Seeing him like that, my anger disappears. I sigh and ask him, "Will you tell me what's wrong?" I offer him a glass of water. Which he receives.
He looks down while answering, "Julie cheated on me with Mathias."
Mathias is Juliette's "cousin." We honestly don't know who his family is since he came to the pack a few years ago. Julie's parents said he was a relative, so to avoid awkward questions, they all say they are cousins, ten years older than us.
"What?" I open my eyes wide. I put my hands in my mouth, totally surprised.
He sighs as he covers his eyes with his hand. Then he answers, "Yes, there it is. You were always right about her, and I was too infatuated to see it clearly."
I raise an eyebrow at him while I respond sarcastically, "You mean you were very horny with her?"
He opens his eyes wide, smiles embarrassed as he responds quickly, "Okay, okay, yeah. I already assumed you were right, as always. Anyway, it's over. I told her I didn't want her to cross my path. That she doesn't exist to me. And at school she better not show up if she doesn't want me to talk to her parents. Imagine how disgusting was to see her making out with her cousin."
I take a moment to process what Eric is telling me. Then I ask, "Damn! How did she take it?"
Sarcastically, he replies, "How do you think?"
"Hum... A couple of ideas come to my mind."
Eric shows his annoyance by rolling his eyes while saying, “she cried a lot. Then, she continued to repeat to me it was a mistake, that she loved me. She said she chose me as her mate and didn't care if her destined mate showed up because she believed the Moon Goddess brought us together. Everyone knew we were the perfect couple, and so on.”
"Oops! And how do you love drama..."
He answers me mockingly, "Ha ha... hilarious. Well, it's over."
I make a face as I answer him, "I'm sorry, Eric."
"Yeah, right!"
"Hum... No, not in the least. I honestly never could stand seeing you with her, but I respected your wishes, as I always do." I tell him while smiling at what I just said. Then I add: "But on the other hand Eric, I got my friend back... I've missed you..." And he says with a smile, "And I missed you too, Isa!"
We were in the kitchen talking for hours. Dawn was already visible when Luna Ayme entered and looked at us, saying, "And what are you doing here at this hour? It's six in the morning!"
"Oh, we spent time talking Luna," I said.
"How are you, mom?" Ask Eric, placing a hand on his cheek.
"From what I see, better than you!" Replies Luna Ayme.
We both laugh at the same time.
"Have you reconciled yet?" Ask Luna Ayme. Eric replies, "Yes mom, we have reconciled."
"That means... Did you stop being an idiot? You will be a wonderful son of mine, but sometimes, you are just as stubborn as your father!"
"Ouch Ma!"
I smile maliciously, as I say, "Let's say Luna that our Goddess already gave him what he deserved. I don't think he'll ever leave his friends for a girlfriend again."
"What did Julie do to you? Should I pay her a visit?."
"What? No, mom, by the goddess! Thanks for that, Isa!"
I burst out laughing as I answered him, "you're very welcome, my good friend! Well, this was fun but if you'll excuse me, I'll go to take a shower. With your permission Luna."
"Go sweety. I'll prepare breakfast before the troops get up.”
"Mom, stop doing that... We have enough omegas in the pack house!"
Her voice sounds sweet and warm, as she responds, "I know, honey, but I enjoy doing it."
That's what I can hear as I leave the kitchen. I'm walking up the stairs, when suddenly an unknown female voice inside my head says. "Wow, who is that hottie? He's smoking-hot!! I would ride him from morning to dusk! What a man!"
I frown as I wonder. “I'm sorry? What's happening today with my internal monologue!!” Then I look at the time and speak. “I must hurry, or I'll be late for school."
If you like the history, please leave a gem. Thank you very much for supporting my book ♥♥♥
POV Eric Lafallete. Being able to talk to Isabella again makes me feel calmer. I know I screwed up. I left her for Juliette, but it was a mistake. Isabella was the one I loved, and it caused problems in our relationship. I didn’t want to assume anything about Isabella and me, because she always clarified that we were just friends. She always put me in the friend-zone whenever I tried to take things further. I was deeply disappointed when I turned eighteen and realized that she was not my destined mate... Even my wolf remembers it and complains... Giving me a big headache! Anouk, my black wolf, is… Hum… how to put it in nice words… He's an acquired taste. You must know him to know that he is a great romantic, with a distinctive sense of humor, who speaks as if he were born in New Jersey. He said, “Hey! I told you not to stay away from Isabella and that being with Juliette was a bad idea! but you never listen, you damn idiot! When you understand that there is no one like her, the trut
POV Isabella Di´Giotanno. Since the training is two hours long, I only train the first hour in human form. Then, everyone strips naked to transform into their wolves. In packs, nudity is not a big deal, since we must constantly undress to transform and not tear one's clothes every time. So, as I walk towards the stands, something won't let me take my eyes off Eric "Damn! But what muscles he has! Oh, my Goddess! What a huge cock that man has! Is he half elephant or what? And it's not even hard! It doesn't matter, anyway, I would run my tongue over every inch of that great body!" says the female voice that is not mine. "Shit! Oh no! But what is happening to me today? It's Eric for Goddess’s sake! He's my friend, he's my best friend! Why does my subconscious see him as if I wanted to fuck him in a thousand possible ways?""Because that's what we want!" Says again the same voice."Huh? I am going crazy! I hear voices now!" I'm freaking out. "You are not going crazy girl!... It's me! Let
POV Isabella Di'Giotanno-Eric droves straight home. We barely spoke the entire way. The truth is that I was totally absorbed in my thoughts and the pain of the fall caused by Juliette's psychotic state. I took some painkillers that Eric bought before driving home, but they didn’t really have much effect on me. So here I am, silently dying in pain. In order to forget about the pain, I turn my thoughts to the idea of finally having a wolf, since I feel more excited than I'm really willing to admit. Upon arriving at the pack house, Eric parks my Beetle while turning off the engine. I bit my lower lip as I asked Eric unsurely, "what is it like to have a wolf?" He looks at me strangely while he tells me, "What are you talking about?" I breathe slowly, while I try to organize my thoughts, then I ask him again, "I mean, how does it feel to have to share your brain and your body with another being?" He seems to think for a moment and then answers, "Oh! That! Well, the truth is great. I'v
POV Isabella Di'Giotanno A week has passed, and my wolf has become silent. After her last sign, she has not spoken to me again. I even think I dreamed it, making this whole situation cause me a deep anxiety. Damn wolf! My birthday is tomorrow, and today is a full moon. I am very nervous because I know that my life will change drastically. They say that the first shift is very painful, and being almost eighteen, I am mentally preparing myself for that level of pain. "Today is a full moon. Are you nervous?" Asks Eric."What do you think? Dah!" I tell him a little annoying."Wow, what a bad temper you have today. I hope your wolf is nicer than you, "Eric says, huffing.I whiten my eyes at Eric, while I stick my tongue out at him. He tells me in a serious tone, looking me directly in the eyes "Don't stick your tongue out at me. Otherwise, you want me to do something naughty with it." "What?" I say it, confused. "Forget it!" Eric replied. "Here they were!" They say entering Lun
POV Eric Lafallete It's almost midnight and Isabella's shift is imminent. Soon we will see the worst of a transformation and the best, what it is when the wolf emerges. We are waiting outside the pack house for the clock to strike 00:00. Mom has prepared everything inside the house, clean clothes, and food. Dad is patrolling, along with our best warriors, the borders. He fears that Isabella's transformation may attract rogues or other beings we don't know exist. The arrival of a Di'Giotanno wolf, as the story tells us, is a blessing, but it also means that something very bad is coming. Dad is very altisonant when he says it. He and Claire have been making preparations in case of an attack, at any moment. I feel very flattered that dad trusted me. Every progress or preparation he makes with Claire, he shares with me via mental link. Of course, this means that my nights of sleep are almost none, but it gives me peace of mind to be able to know the offensive and defensive strategy of the
POV Isabella Di'Giotanno Goddess, how it hurts!! I felt like I was being torn apart a thousand times in a second! It's amazing what the human body can do. My body shattered into the most incredible wolf I had ever seen. And she's mine. I am very curious to know why the moon goddess sent me such a wolf. Aika is big. She-wolves are not that big. She's only slightly smaller than Anouk, and that's an overestimation. It is completely white, and the tips of her fur are the color of platinum. Her eyes are a deep, bright blue. She is exquisite. I said, “Aika?” She replied, “I was finally able to tear the veil, Isa!” I tell her totally surprised, “Wow. Seriously, you are so beautiful!” She replied, “We are beautiful Isa... Never forget it.” Eric clears his throat as he calls her. “Aika?” She responds flirtatiously. “Hi Eric. I can finally meet you.” Aika speaks to Eric as if she were a human, moving her mouth. Then I ask her, “Aika, how can you do that?” She replied, “Aww Isa. There ar
POV Eric Lafallete Watching Isabella shift has been the most impressive thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Aika is a wolf from another world. Apart from the fact that she is not the size of a regular wolf, it is almost the size of Anouk, and this beast is indeed big. Her white fur with her platinum tips, her bright blue eyes, take my breath away. Every day that passes I believe that Isabella is made for us. She is perfect for us in every aspect. If only she could see it too! I asked Anouk, “do you realize what she bet? She wants us to ask her to do whatever we want!” He answers me annoyed, “Yes, I heard her, I was there, your empty head!” I respond in a threatening way, “Hey, control that big snout of yours Anouk, if you don't want me to take control over you.” He answers me, with a mocking voice, “Is that a threat?” I respond with my cold and threatening voice, “It is a warning.” Anouk bursts into laughter as he mockingly tells me, “How well I have taught you! I'm s
POV Isabella Di'Giotanno Once we transformed, Aika requested not to talk about responsibilities anymore and just wanted to take a walk. Feel the earth in your paws and the wind in our fur. But then, Aika couldn't think of a better thing than to bet against Anouk. What the fuck was she thinking? Damn horny wolf! I tell her very angry, “Damn, Aika... I still don't understand why you bet that. Anouk will find us, and we will be history!” She answers me calmly, “Calm down Isa! by the Goddess! You know what? You and I have to talk. The Moon Goddess made us extraordinary. I told you a while ago, there are only very few things we can't do. Losing against Anouk is not one of them. We can camouflage our smell. It is one of our many abilities that we have. But I will not do it. I refuse to do it.” If Aika wanted to make me angry, well congratulations, she did it! “Tell me, please, your highness. Why tell me you can do something and then tell me you won't do it? What the hell is happening to
