Chapter Sixty-Eight

“Look at me, Amour.”

The way he said Amour made it sound like it was melting out of his mouth. It was smooth and warm. It also made me want to taste it on his plump lips.

I lifted my head to level my eyes with his. Those hazel eyes that had other colors swimming in them made my knees weak. I was forced to avert my gaze but that did not do anything for my burning cheeks.

“Don’t leave me.” He continued, his voice held a huge weight of regret and that broke me. My hand reached for my smoothie however I did not inject the straw into my mouth. I just needed something to hold on to.
