Chapter Eight.
Tristan's POV.
"What do you mean by saying I should quit my job?" She questioned me. She must be really shocked, but I guess she must have misunderstood me.
"No, that isn't what I meant. You can quit this job, and then I will just help you find another one. It is very easy. I have some friends in some companies that could help with it." I had to make it clear to her. Likewise, I don't want to feel like I'm chasing her away.
I don't really want her to go, I want her to stay here. I don't know why
"Sir, as I have said, I would respect it if you would be able to respect the fact that I have a daughter that I really love, and everything we have together in common is the business." She said to me then how her head. I don't know why I am concerned with her issues.
I just feel like she was the one I slept with for the last few years. It was that scent, it would never get off my head.
"Okay, I'm sorry if I intrude into your privacy." He apologized
"I will get going now. I am very late." She said that, then walked out of me. I went inside my house, too.
I pray that time doesn't get here.
Immediately after I was done taking my tea for dinner, I went to bed . I need to wake up at 6 a.m. tomorrow and get back to work. I am that busy.
*****
The Next day.
I heard the doorbell.
"Did I order for anything? Who could be so early? " I wondered who was ringing the bell at 6:20.
"Oh!" I was amazed to see Anastasia at the front door.
She really came early, I told her to be here by 6:30, and she made it. I guess she really took this job seriously.
I opened the door for her and let her in.
"0720. That is the passcode . You should enter next time, there is no need for you to knock." I gave her the code to open my door since she knew it.
"Good morning, sir Tristan. I will note that down." She greeted me.
"What can I do this morning? Are your suits ironed? What would you like for breakfast?" She queried while we both left the doorway.
"My clothes are okay, you could just help with the breakfast. You could come to my library immediately you are done with the breakfast, the kitchen is that way." I pointed to where the kitchen was.
"What would you like to eat?" She questioned me.
"I'm not sure, you can make an avocado toast topped with a fried egg and hot sauce. Can you make it?" I asked her.
"Sure, I have been at home all my life. I get to explore more when it comes to food, and I'm great at it." She answered.
"Okay then." I nodded my head. I
"Okay." She excused herself, then went into the kitchen to make me breakfast while I went to the library to look at the schedule she did last night.
I wanted to check if it was really okay for me, I haven't looked over it. She submitted it immediately; she was done last night.
I knew that when she slept off last night, she must have been waiting for me to finish my work so we could leave the company together. I wish I could read people's minds already.
That is one of the hardest powers to get as a werewolf, and it also comes with a lot of consequences. That is the next power I would love to unlock.
"Her dad's company?" I asked myself when I saw that we would be meeting with her dad's company. I wonder what kind of deal they have for us.
I guess I must have accepted to meet with them before she started working here. Did she see it at all? Perhaps, I might get to bring them together since they aren't on good terms?
*Few Minutes Later.*
She knocked on my door.
"Come in!" I instructed her.
"Should I bring in your breakfast? Or you would like to eat it in the dining room?" She inquired.
"In the dining room, I quickly want to wear my suit." I stood up from my chair and took the suit that was hanging in one corner of the room.
She helped me with the suit and tried to help me put it on. There was no way I was going to decline.
Her hand brushed my suit, trying to make it neater and better on me.
"Where is your tie?" She asked.
"There!" I pointed to where it was, and then she walked away to get it.
"Control yourself." I said to myself when my eyes went to her ass. Why should I even be looking at her ass? She is just my personal assistant. Her ass is pretty big, she had the killer shape some men would die for.
She was putting on a tight black dress with a flat shoe. Her hair was also tied in a bun.
She knotted the tie over the neck, she had to raise her heel since I was way taller than her. She pressed the tie against my body immediately after she was done, and then we maintained eye contact.
I'm not breaking eye contact first! No way! I don't think she is ready to break eye contact either.
Chapter Nine. Anastasia's POV. I helped him with his tie, and it was then our eyes met. We maintained eye contact for a little time. I'm awful when it comes to maintaining eye contact. There is no way I would stop staring at him! I am not accepting defeat. His stares were beginning to get so intense. I just stood there and kept staring at him. I am sure he could see how my eyes were filled with admiration. I wouldn't stop admiring his eyes, like I have always done for my daughter. I blinked my eyes and looked down. He won, and I am going to challenge him another day. I don't know why I am terrible at maintaining eye contact. Is it really that bad? Is this some sort of staring competition? I can't believe he won instead. It wasn't my fault, though, his glare was so intense filled without any emotion. "This looks good." I broke the silence, then we both walked out of the room, while I followed him like a bodyguard at his back. He didn't even say, "Thank you." "Why would he s

Chapter 10. Anastasia's POV. I waited in the office as Tristan commanded me to. He told me not to leave my office. "Why would you want to bring a child into the office? Do you know what the world might say?" I heard Penelope's voice as she followed Tristan into the office after a few minutes. I saw Tristan holding my kid's wrist. "Mummy!" Ashley removed her hands from his grasp, and she ran towards where I was giving a very huge hug. "I really miss you, momma." Ashley gave me a huge hug while I was sitting. I noticed the two friends had stopped arguing. It turned out they were staring at me. "You see? Why do you always like this whenever you are around her? I have always been the one protecting your reputation ! This is how you repay me?" Penelope shouted at Tristan. How is he whenever he's with me? Does she even know what she is saying at all? "This is not about repaying, and who told you she was staying in my office?" "This is my business, not yours. I also hate it whenev
Chapter 11. Tristan's POV. "What the hell is going on?" I shouted. "Can all of you excuse me for a moment?" I told them, calming my nerves down, then slowly sitting back on my seat. "Tristan! This is an important matter!" Penelope told me. I know how important that can be. Killing rampage? "I need all of you to get out, including the police." I instructed them. "Sir, we need to speak with the person we are here for assaulting one of the workers in this place. " The police stated. "Except from you, Anastasia." I stated before she could walk out. Why is Penelope looking at me that way? If there are several problems, it will be right to take one and attend to it first. Anastasia looked so scared, does she think I'm going to bite her? I don't understand this reaction of hers. Where did her confidence run to? "What's with the Police case?" I looked at her disgustingly, asking her the question. "If you know you want to start asking me questions, I would rather follow the Policeme
Chapter 12. Anastasia's POV. "You have been released from here. Thanks to the accuser who changed her mind." The policeman informed me after I spent a few hours in jail. "Thank you very much." I told him, then walked out of the Station. My mind went to my daughter immediately. My phone isn't with me, and I wondered what made me forget the phone in Ashley's hand. "I was waiting for them to release you, they did already." The lady whom I stabbed with a knife walked up to me, jolting me from my thoughts. "Seems like you really want another stab!" I threatened her. "Then no one would be able to save you this time around, no amount of money will make me change my mind." She stated. What does she mean by that? I looked at her in a confused way. "Someone paid me a very huge amount of money, so I will take back my statement. For me to accept that offer, you should know the money should really be a big one." She explained further. I guess she must have noticed how confused I was. "Do
Chapter Thirteen Anastasia's Point Of View. "Thank you very much for yesterday." I brought down my pride, and then I needed to thank him for watching over my daughter. "Stabbing someone with a fork? What are you really?" He chuckled. That will be the first time I have seen him almost laugh, ever since I have been working with him. It just turned out that he was laughing at me. Foolish me! I made up my mind to respect him as my boss already, and I hope I don't break up what I have promised myself. I didn't reply to him, then helped him with his suit. "Why are you not answering me? Is your mouth too heavy?" He asked furiously. Why is he getting pissed off again? I thought he said I should respect him? "I'm sorry if I didn't reply you. I felt that doesn't need a response, I'm trying my very best to be very respectful towards you." I answered him, and he faked a smile. "How did you get off the prison last night? I thought you were going to spend a year there. Or probably six mont
Chapter Fourteen. Anastasia's POV. Tristan looked at me and then at my father, and immediately my father said it. "Uhm, it's nothing much. We are kind of related, so I just want to see her for a few minutes." My father told him. I was already expecting him to deny me, especially in front of Tristan. He wouldn't want to spoil his reputation in front of the person he adores so much, he must've seen me as a daughter to run away after getting pregnant. More like a slut. "You can go listen to whatever he wants to tell you. I don't care about the type of relationship you two have." Tristan said this to me, then walked away, leaving me at the door entrance. He entered the lift right in front of me. I walked back to the office and closed the door, leaving my father and me in the room. I crossed my hands, waiting for him to start talking bullshit. "Woah! I thought I warned you that I didn't want to see you around this place anymore. What are you still doing here?" My father queried me, w
Chapter 15. Anastasia's POV. I waited patiently for him to answer my question. "Why would I want to stop you from communicating with your father? Should I even call him your father?" He asked me while he focused back with whatever he was doing on the computer that was in his front. I couldn't figure out why I was finding it so hard for me to believe him. "What else were you expecting him to say?" I asked myself while I focused on whatever I was doing. "Don't call him my father, he isn't worth that title." I answered his question after a few minutes, then continued what I was doing. "Seems you two had a fight, that's good." He said scoffing. Good? "What's good exactly?" I asked him "The fact that you showed him you are not weak, you poured a glass of water on him. I feel like you should have done something worse." He said with an evil smirk. I don't have anything to say anything, to be honest. I just don't know what to say. Tomorrow is Saturday, I will have little time to
