Chapter Six.

Anastasia's Point Of View.

I quickly ran out of the room in fear and shock.

"Uhm, It's the boss. He's dying." I told Cassie immediately after I came out of the room.

I didn't know who to go and meet at that moment.

Why would he ask such personal questions? I turned back to him. I felt he was joking at first, but he looked so serious.

Should I tell him the truth, or just lie to him and go? Or shouldn't I reply to him at all?

"Sir, I don't think I should be asked that question. I came here to work. Asking such questions might be an invasion of my privacy." I blurted it out, forgetting he was the one employing me. After all the questions I asked myself, I still ended up saying what I was not supposed to say

"I'm so sorry, if I said what I was not supposed to." I apologized immediately when I realized what I said.

"It's okay, I guess I was the one who made a mistake. You can get going now." Tristan said to me, focusing on what he was working on.

I hurriedly walked out of the room with my face all red. I took a huge sigh of relief when I remembered my pay for the month.

The secretary had a permanent seat in the hallway. I walked up to her, and tried to put on a smiley face.

"Sir Damon told me to meet you for more information about what I am to do as her personal assistant." I informed her. She shot me daggers like I stole something from her.

Why was she angry at me? Do I have anything to do with her misfortune?

"There are a lot of things you will have to do since you are his personal assistant." She informed her, then stretched out a sheet of paper with written words on it. I wondered what the sheet was for.

"Take it, it contains what you will be doing for him as his personal assistant." She dropped it on the floor.

I picked it up immediately, and read through it. Woah! That is a lot of work for me. I squeezed my face in surprise, and I was still shocked by the list that was there.

"What happened? You want to quit? There are a lot of people out there who want this job." The secretary queried me. I cleared my throat, preparing for what I wanted to tell her next.

Wait, why is she treating me this way? Who the hell does she think she is?

"Miss Cassy, I don't know why you are angry at me, don't you think you should be a little bit friendly? You have been frowning a lot, that is why your wrinkles are getting more visible at your young age." I blurted it out without feeling any remorse. I've got to remember her name since Tristan told me at the office earlier.

"What the hell are you saying, huh? Who do you think you are to talk to me this way?" She banged her hand on the table, which caused a really loud, vibrating, sharp noise.

"What's going on here?" Someone interrupted us with a loud voice. I turned back, and saw the lady who interviewed me with Tristan.

I know how much she hates me. Likewise, I stood there looking at her, she would do anything for me to get out of this company.

"Uhm, nothing, ma'am. She was just asking me a few questions, so I got annoyed." Cassie tried defending me. She should have told Penelope the truth. I wondered what was stopping her from telling her the truth.

"That doesn't mean you should cause noise." Penelope warned, and then she entered the room that was opposite theirs. Is that her room? I meant her office.

"I thought they stay in the same room? It turned out her office is opposite his." I really got curious, and it wasn't my fault I got curious.

I saw a desk in Damon's room this morning, and I have imagined that it belongs to him.

"No! Unfortunately. The two are friends, some think they are dating. They are not, though, you just have to be careful. She has anger issues, trust me, you wouldn't want to get on her nerves." Cassie told her.

Oh? Was that the lady Susan was talking about?

"I thought you were angry at me earlier! What happened? You changed your mind?" I noticed how friendly she became when she started talking about Penelope.

It was then that she cleared her throat, and raised her Chin.

"Who told you I was being friendly?" "Read the documents and ask me questions." Cassie instructed me. I bet she wanted to look serious. She looked funny instead.

"I am done reading it already! Don't I have a seat? Will I be standing all day?" I queried. I looked around, and then I noticed there was no desk for me to sit on.

"Who told you there was a seat for you here? You will be sitting together with Tristan inside his office." She informed me.

No! She must be joking. There is no way I would be sitting in the same office with him! A Werewolf? How am I going to concentrate on my job with how cute he is? How wonderful his eyes were.

"I am not joking, he must be expecting you in his office by now." Can these people read minds now, huh?

I grabbed my suitcase that I had placed on her table, and walked back into his office immediately after knocking.

"I already asked her what I am going to be doing! She explained it well." I told him. He didn't bother to reply me.

He was engrossed in the work he was doing.

The office was spacious and well-appointed, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light.

The walls were made of glass, and the furniture was sleek and modern.

At the end of the room, there was a large desk where the employer could work. Then, at the front of the desk, there was a comfortable chair there, which I assumed to be mine.

Nearby, there was a conference table for meetings with clients or other staff members. Overall, the office was functional and inviting.

This wasn't the office he used for the interview, though. It was much bigger than this one.

I went to the desk there, and started working on a few things. It was as if he couldn't see me or notice my presence in the room. He is a werewolf, and I'm sure he must have noticed my presence when he came in. The arrangement wasn't to my taste; I'm Just going to arrange later.

"Get me a cup of coffee." He instructed.

"Oh no! How could I forget one of the most crucial things?" I muttered under my breath.

"Do you realize you are loud? You should look at the rules more so you will not forget next time." He corrected. I didn't bother to say anything, and I left his room.

"How could I forget the most crucial thing? The fact that he is a Werewolf? And he will be able to hear every single thing as long as it comes out of my mouth." I asked myself.

I walked out of the office, and went ahead to prepare his coffee. Furthermore, I went to the company's restaurant to get the coffee.

"Please, I would love to order the regular." I told the lady who was in charge.

"What do you mean by regular? Can't you just be straight-forward, and say what exactly you want?" The lady shouted at her.

"I mean, what does the CEO take? He sent me here." I explained further.

"I don't know what he takes, this is the first time I will be going for something like this," she said to me.

Why did he send me here when he knows that he doesn't take coffee from the company?

I think the employees in the company have a thing for being so disrespectful. Can't they be at least polite? I wonder how they got into this big company with this kind of behavior. At least, I'm going to be different.

I will just go for the type of coffee I love.

"Can you give me a hazelnut blend coffee? With a little bit of milk mixed in it?" I requested.

Then she went ahead and prepared it.

"Thank you very much." I appreciated it immediately when she handed over the coffee to me.

I took it back to the office, using the escalator that was there. Furthermore, I decided to use it today since I have been taking the lift a lot.

I did the usual and handed over the coffee to him. He gulped down everything right in front of me, and I waited for him till he was done. I went back to my seat afterward.

"What did you add to my drink?" He queried.

His eyes were turning red already, his veins were visible, and his face was red.

I didn't know what to do at that instant, his hands were also shaking. He fell from his seat completely.

"Oh my goodness, what have I done? Did I add anything to his drink without knowing?" I asked myself:

What should I do? I don't want to get fired.
