CHAPTER 8

Father

It's been a week since Ryan died and I'm still unable to believe my son is gone, the entire pack seems empty and silent to me, even the pack house is as silent as a graveyard. My wife has refused to eat for the first few days and it took a lot of convincing to make her eat. Helene hardly comes out of her room and Niel is nowhere to be found, I refuse to believe he killed his own brother, though all evidences points to him but he was still innocent. I couldn't rule him out as a suspect.

The elders also mourned Ryan, he had a bright and promising future one which was way better than mine, I had high hopes for him. The pack would have grown larger if he were to remain alpha but then the goddess decided to take him away from me, evidently he was murdered and whoever dared such would surely pay for it.

I sighed as I watched my wife play with the food that was meant for breakfast, I shook my head and placed my hand on hers, she looked at me and the liveliness that once graced her eye
