CHAPTER FIVE

On this rainy night, Jarvis sits by her little sister's lifeless body hugging it to herself tightly while her other sister Aquila sits at the edge of the cave sitting quietly. No words came out of Aquila's mouth. she just sat that thinking about something looking emotionless.

"I know you have to weep for the loss of your dear sister but I beg of you. Step away from the body" Dorian said looking at Jarvis with worries all over her face.

Jarvis however does not look pleased with what Dorian is saying. She looks at her with disgust like she wants to murder her but not the quick type of murder but the one that Dorian will die slowly as Jarvis enjoys her screams and suffering. 

"Are you human?" Jarvis asked and Dorian looks at her confused but she managed to mouth a 

"what"

"Are you human?" Jarvis asked again but this time a little louder.

"Of course I am. I care about you" Dorian said.

"If you truly cared for me at all you will not tell me to step away from my sister a few hours after her death. she didn't deserve it. You know nothing of what I am feeling" Jarvis said as tears began to form in her eyes again.  

"You are a monster," She says as she looks at Dorian with absolute hate.  

Dorian looks shocked by what Jarvis had just said to her because Jarvis was always the respective handmaiden that always does as she's told and not talk back at anyone especially does of high authority.

"Come here now sweet sister. she doesn't know what she's saying. Let her grieve"Adrian whispers in Dorian's ears and she left Jarvis and went to go and prepare a place for herself to sleep. she rests her head on her bag and slowly closes her eyes.

" Jarvis, I think you were a little too hard on her" Aquila said as she sat next to Jarvis. 

"I don't care," Jarvis said bitterly

"it may seem like you don't care but you'll regret it soon enough," Aquila said as she looks at the rain hitting against the ground while Jarvis just looks at her sister quite amazed about her calmness. 

"How can you be so calm," Jarvis said Aquila and she replied 

" I feel so much hurt right now but what's keeping me sane a little bit is me finding Nacasia's murder and making that person pay. Slowly"

Aquila sounded a little bit too cold for a fifteen-year-old. she looked scary even. she had that murdering look in her eyes that would scare anyone.

"And how will you make the person pay?" Jarvis asked curious about what her answer may be.

" I don't think I can answer that question. I have millions of ways rushing through my brain on how I'll torment that person but I know for sure whatever I choose the person will die slowly.

Aquila looks at Nacasia and smiles. She strokes Nacasia's blonde beautiful hair and kisses her forehead. 

" I will avenge you" she whispers into her sister's ear. 

"Big sister, I suggest you go sleep. we will have a long day tomorrow." Aquila says then goes to sleep on the ground at a corner of the cave. 

It's already sunrise and Dorian, Jarvis, Aquila, and Adrian are all packed and ready to continue their journey but there's one thing stopping them from moving on with their Journey and that's Nacasia. 

"I am sorry about what I said yesterday. I didn't mean to sound so rude" Dorian said to Jarvis and Jarvis quickly bows and says

"Milady I am truly sorry for talking so arrogant to you yesterday. please do forgive my ridiculous behavior." 

Dorian hugs Jarvis and says to her 

"you have nothing to be sorry for. I wasn't being thoughtful. your sister just died I should have shown some sympathy. 

"I forgive you milady," Jarvis says with a weak smile. 

"I'm sorry to interrupt but what do we do with the body," Adrian asked.

"I was thinking we go to a river to burn her so she can be clean from all the bad things of the world and reunite with The mother, the Goddess Celena. 

In Calesien, they believe in the Goddess Celena. The goddess of the moon. They pray to her and they believe if they do good in their lives they will reunite with her and remain joyful watching their loved ones from above.

" That would have been amazing but there is no river around here for miles. The nearest river is near Ashton and Alywn's army are probably nearby" Adrian said explaining to Jarvis. 

Adrian knows the woods here a lot because he comes on various hunting trips in different areas and this happens to be one of the areas he comes hunting. 

"What do you suppose we do with the body," Jarvis said looking straight into his eyes. No servant could ever try to do such a thing. looking directly at someone of his status was unbelievable. she looked frightening. it is usually the servant that is frightened when talking to someone like Adrian but that was not the case here. Jarvis looks at him with a little bit of annoyance and anger. she was indeed angry it was written all over her face.

"I think you should just bury her here," He said looking at Jarvis without any emotion. 

"You are unbelievable Adrian" Jarvis yelled at him with disgust filled in her expression. Aquila and Dorian did not utter a word but just watched as Jarvis and Adrian talked.

"How dare you talk to me like that. I told you before, you would address me as My lord. I know you are grieving but that should not make you forget your manners" Adrian said in a cool tone but it was also a scary voice. He sounded like he would not approve of her rude behavior again.

"Let's go, Aquila, it seems like we shouldn't be here again more. Let's go burn our sister so she would be happy " Jarvis said as she struggled to keep Nacasia's body on a horse but she did succeed. 

"This is madness" Dorian cried out

"You can't possibly be leaving. You are headed to your death. Alywn's army will be all over that place." she said in a very serious manner as she pulled Jarvis by her hand. 

"I have to serve my sister right. She died at such a young age. I have to make sure she is happy in her death" Jarvis said as she got on her horse with Nacasia's body on it.

"Get on your horse," she told Aquila and she did so.

"You will regret it," Adrian said as he looked at Jarvis and Aquila ride away.
