TWENTY-NINE
Sorcha couldn’t help how her heart felt hurt all over again. It was like it had only been the day before that day it had happened. It felt so fresh, she couldn’t stop the tears that had begun to roll down her cheeks. She felt her kneels grow weak, causing her to quick grab unto her kitchen table for support. Lucas wasn’t her first heartbreak, but she had been way too invested in him, even if they hadn’t even been up to a year yet. It had only been months, and such a perfect relationship had brought her so much pain.
“Do you know about this?” Starr had said all of a sudden, feeling her blood boil so much. She didn’t know that animals like that still roamed the world. She did, but she didn’t let herself believe.
Christopher shook his head as he replied her, “I am not really a social media person, but maybe Valentine or Marcus. And besides, it is only the relationship people know about, not the rest.”

Sorcha and Starr were singing along to a nineties pop, while Sorcha drove them to a eatery of her choice. Starr had wanted her to be comfortable, so she had choose the eatery she wanted to go to and what she wanted to eat. Their voice had gone higher, and they both had a wide smile on. “Thank you so much,” Starr had said to Sorcha after their meal, appreciating her. Sorcha smiled warmly as she replied, “Believe me when I say it is an honor. I get the chance to eat and hang with you, that is an honor.” Sorcha was probably just talking, but it was deeper than that to Starr. Yes, she knew personal mental health was good and sensible. But, cutting off from everyone in her life didn’t seem like such a good idea anymore. But then, it was the therapy she needed. She shook her head a bit, to get over the thought. She still felt it was one of the best decisions she made. “I am your sister, it shouldn’t be an honor, but a normality,” Starr replied Sorcha with a smile as she lifted her hands, hoping to get the attention of the woman who had been attending to them. It had been night before the girls left the park and set to their different location. Starr had asked to be taken to Christopher’s house, so she could get Magnus’ car and return to hers. She didn’t tell him when she got to him house, so he wouldn’t try to make her stay. Considering how she had forgotten a bit about dating, she wasn’t expecting Christopher to be bother at all and had begun to get settled in her home, when Christopher’s call came in. “Hey,” she had said, picking his call with a smile.“Where are you?” he had asked her, his voice filled with concern. “Still with your sister? Starr scrolled through the article that had been published by multiple accounts and sites on the net, a smile brightening her face. She felt so satisfied, as she read through the comment, shippers and stans voicing their disapproval, as well as hate. She didn’t know how Magnus got his hands on the video, but he did and almost everyone who dropped an article used it, as well as pictures of his and his pregnant wife kissing at the same mall. When he made decision he made, he messed with the wrong family, he didn’t know. She sipped from her cup of coffee as she kept on reading juicy comments, people talking of how they had the hunch that he was bad news. She was genuinely close to reply to some of them, but she controlled herself and simple kept herself entertained.She was far gone in the depths of the comment section of different articles, when her phone began to ring, making her fling it up in surprise. Not really having any work to do, the girls had had lunch together and spent the rest of their day simply talking. They didn’t talk about anything personal, that would trigger emotions, they revolved around other things and complaints about things of the society. When the bright sky became a hue, Sorcha decided it was high time she left. “Let us have a family meal soon, ehn?”Starr nodded with a smile as she replied, “That sounds awesome. I would love that.”Sorcha nodded and stood, picking her handbag.“How is mom?” Starr had asked, “Is she doing good?”Sorcha nodded. “Yes she is,” she replied, but quickly added, “Or she is acting like she is. “So, how was work today?” Christopher had Starr for the first time since they had been together, rinsing the large shrimp. “Hectic?” Starr shrugged as she stirred the tomato sauce. “Not really honestly. Sorcha came around, and all we really did was hang,” she replied him as she stirred at the shrimp he was frying, to decide it was time to shove him. “Yours? Productive?” It really gladdened Christopher’s heart that she was warming up to her sister. He thought it was beautiful. He shrugged also as he replied, “I guess. I was able to put down some words.” He smiled. Starr frowned a bit as she collected the frying pan Christopher had stretched to her, pouring the tomato sauce in it and stirring. “Some words? Not some sentences?” “It isn’t that easy, Love,” Christopher quickly defended himself. “And I wasn’t feeling that up to it, so I did a lot of deleting and rewriting.” Starr nodded, not replying him as she stirred the spaghetti into the sauce c

It was a chill morning, Starr was curled up to Christopher, his arm wrapped around her and her cream duvet covering them up. It felt so relaxing, they didn’t want to get up. “Aren’t you going to work today? Christopher had asked Starr as he tightened his grip around her, pulling her closer and unintentionally sniffing at her hair. He did like how it smelt, like a fresh atmosphere.Starr shook her head before she replied, “Nope.” She let herself enjoying his warmth, listening faintly to his paced heartbeat.“Are you sure? After a while of simply lying down, Starr felt the strong urge to use the toilet.
