Chapter 36 Haunted
Thick, heavy fog. Gloomy and bizarre place. Lucas closed his eyes, the deafening silence overwhelmed him. He tried to remember what happened, letting himself get lost in his memories’ trails, and when he opened his eyes again, the Tree of Death was staring back at him.
He looked down, he was floating five inches away from the ground. His feet felt cold and stiff, and he can’t move any part of his body. He was startled when an unknown force pushed him and he spun around, shuddered with the wind that brushed against his skin. When he looked ahead, a figure was in front of him. He felt a sudden splash of relief when he recognized it was Selene. She was far from where he stood, and she was smiling. A smile that he wish would never disappear, a smile that gives light amid the darkness of Domus Malum.
