Natasha smiled within herself, as she kept gazing at the pregnancy test papers, her joy knew no bounds as she leaped in excitement. Her face was squished into a hearty smile, as she climbed the stairs of the mansion, her mind trailing away.
She squeezed the papers in her louis vuitton bag, she had just planned to tell her husband that she was two weeks pregnant!!
She had been married to Alec for the past two months, she smiled to herself as she remembered how they were high school sweethearts, how she pursued him and finally made him hers, she rubbed her cheeks in contentment, her tall legs trampling down the steps.
Oh! she couldn't wait to break the happy news to her husband, she was damn happy, her marriage to Alec had been successful for the past two months but there was only one problem.
Her Mother-in-law and sister-in-law didn't quite like her, they called numerous names and accused her of being a gold digger, Alec was a successful CEO but she was just an average girl from a low class family.
But still, her love for him blossomed everyday.
She smiled as she turned the doorknob of the house, the huge smile on her face remained there when she saw her husband, Alec, sitting comfortably on the armchair, swiping through his phone.
Alec had a straight face as he did so and she smiled, that was what she loved about him, his captivating poker face, that was what drew and attracted her, though he was a cold and stoic CEO with no emotions or feelings, but she loved that, she loved him just the way he was, even though he was always cold to her, she still loved him.
He gazed up at her, his gray sliver-like eyes twinkling dangerously under the light, that was one thing about him, his eyes, it was alluring, dangerous, dark and even if she tried running away, those eyes pulled her back. It reminded her of her love for him, and his dark brown chestnut hair that was scattered amid his face.
"Dear, I am home and I have some good news," She dropped the bag on the chair and moved closer to embrace him, but she was stopped halfway, his firm hands pushing her aside gently.
"Honey, what's wrong?" She fluttered her eyelashes, why was he like that? Normally, he usually allowed her to hug him, but he never retreated nor had he ever returned her love.
"Let's get divorced." His heavy gaze lingered around her body.
Her eyes bulged in horror, her whole body shaking aggressively.
"What?!" Shock, confusion and more flashed through her immediately, her throat hooked, did she hear it right? divorce? Her husband, Alec wanted to divorce her?
"Yes, these are the divorce papers, hurry up and sign them," His hands reached for the other side of the tiny chest, before he pulled it out, and then he brought some fresh bundles of paper written in a tiny size, but the capital bold letters which read;
'Divorce Agreement.' Written in block letters, the letters shining red.
Her hands trembled slightly as she stared at the divorce papers in her hand, what in the heck was this? divorce papers? it seemed like her whole world was crumbling down in front of her. She felt dizzy as she managed to grasp the nearby object to support her stance.
"Why are you doing this to me, Alec?" Hot tears stung her lids as she stared at him demanding an answer from him, her blue eyes stared at his dark gray ones.
"Haylee is pregnant with my child," His aura was chilly, his voice rang in her ear countless times.
Haylee!
All these years, she had spent it loving this man, doing everything for him, he never liked her back, he never told her he loved her. All these while, she had been foolish enough.
When they were in high school, Haylee was from a high class family, and she also loved Alec so much that she doted on him. So that was why! That was why she was maltreated by his family.
The tears streamed down her face but he didn't seem to care, not for once even glance up to look at her.
She held her forehead in order not to pass out, she stared at her flat tummy, how could she be pregnant with his child? This man was cruel! He was a monster!!
"So all those years in college, you two had something going on?" She asked, her voice trembling in anger, quivering a bit.
"She's more deemed to provide the next heir of the Harts." It finally dawned on her. She wasn't fit. She could never provide the heir. She was never fit.
Instantly, all the love she had for him turned into hate, all the love she had, turned to immense anger.
She flipped the papers away in anger, "I hope you have a nice married life," She stumbled towards the door and pushed it open, what she thought she could do in her whole life, with her back facing him.
She ran away.
Far away from him.
And that was just the beginning of her life.

Natasha swirled up from the bed all of a sudden, layers of sweat lingering around her forehead.
She tried to calm herself down, by taking some deep breaths, it was just one of the nightmares again, damn.
It's been five years now since she got divorced from him, she pretended as if she was dead, she faked that she had a hit and run. She changed her lifestyle. She flew out of the country, changed her name to Cindy, and began a new life with her kids. For her. It had all been going well.
Her eyes trailed over to her children who slept soundly on the bed, their hair sprawled around their face, damp sweat furrowing around their brows, the gentle heaving of their chest made her heart calm down a bit.
They were her world now, and she could never trade them for anything in her life, after she got divorced with that scumbag, she wanted to get rid of them, but just by thinking of their innocent faces, she decided to keep them and that was what led to the existence of her kids, Niccy and Nikky. They were her life. The only reason she was still living.
Though she hated that they were his children, she still loved them so much.
She slumped back to the bed, as she covered herself with the pillow. Maybe, she could fall asleep and forget about him.
She closed her eyelids peacefully, but his face popped up again, she managed a shrill sound, as she hurriedly stood up from the bed. Why was it just so hard forgetting about him?
Even if she tried to, the memories, his face kept appearing in her head and the only thing she felt for him was just pure hatred.
Finding it hard to fall asleep, she gently got up from the bed in order not to wake them up, she put on her flip flops and gently tiptoed over to the kitchen.
She opened the fridge and poured herself a glass of fresh milk, she held the glass in her hand and chugged it down her system in a go, letting the liquid substance flush through her throat.
She returned the glass back to the fridge and walked back to the bedroom.
She adjusted the bedsheet and climbed up the bed. She covered her kids well with the blanket.
A sigh escaped her lips, as she just stared at the ceiling, and at last, what seemed like hours but only minutes, she fell asleep.

A low yawn escaped Natasha's already chapped lips as she flipped the pancakes in the pan, as she watched the pancakes jump from the pan to the air, and then back into the pan, the sizzling sound filling her ears. She stretched her arm, it was obvious that she was really tired, but for the sake of her kids, she had to be up and running. The delicious smell of fresh pancakes lingered around the whole room, it made the twins skip happily to their mother in delight, they both had a warm smile that could melt any ice block. "Mother, are those pancakes I smell?" Her son, Nikky Excitedly asked, his blue eyes which resembled hers in every aspect twinkled perfectly under the light. He stretched his hands forward, gesturing his hands to his mother. She squatted to his level and patted his inky brown hair adoringly, "Yes, Nik, It's our favorite." She smiled at him. Gratitude was clearly shown in his face as he hugged his mother's arm. That mother and son duo had gone a long way, Nikky a
Natasha held his phone, "What?" Her eyelashes flutter in confusion. "Since you lost your other job as a chef, I just found a new one." He almost shoved the phone to her face, but he lowered it, and tucked it back into her pockets. "Really? What?" She was finally happy, after she lost her job two weeks ago, things had really been tough for her and the twins and now that Sky had found a job for her, she felt glad. "Since you have a degree in business, the job won't be quite hard," He said. "Can you just tell me the job and stop keeping me in suspense?" She almost rolled her eyes looking at the dramatic display in front of her. "Okay, so, a new CEO had just brought the whole company , he resides abroad, but he's in the country now, he fired all the employees, and now, he's looking for new ones. To start up, his assistant." Sky explained. "When's the interview?" She asked earnestly. "Today." He palmed his lips together. "Really?" Her eyes shone brightly. "Yes, and the pay is qui
Natasha now known as Cindy sat down among the interviewers, with a sigh, she yawned slightly. "Are you here for the interview?" The woman next to her smiled. "Yes." She simply answered not in the mood, the only thing she was focused on right now was getting the job, she really needed the job. "Great, I am also here for the job and by the way I am Carly," The woman smiled, somehow, her smile felt fake and insecure that Natasha couldn't help but flutter her brows."Miss. Carly, you are next." She nodded before getting up, she turned to Cindy who was rubbing her palms, "I wish us luck," There was something behind that smile, but she couldn't pinpoint what it was. Cindy just nodded her head, Carly went in with a smile, full of herself and composed. After three minutes, Carly came out of the office, tears stuck the edges of her face, she ran away, the tears slipping down her pale cheek.Cindy stiffened, woah, what just happened? she went in with confidence but came out with tears, and
Alec sighed as he gazed at the documents placed neatly on the table, he had to sign all those contracts before tomorrow morning. A sigh escaped his lips, he studied the documents in his hands, his eyes clearly scanning the contents. However, his eyes scanned at the CV that was placed on the table, he must have forgotten to give the lady back her CV. He picked up the CV with curiosity, since he didn't get the chance to read it. He scanned through the contents, and he could say that her educational level was quite high, she had a degree in business, and she would be quite beneficial to the company. He stroked his chin, seeming to be in a deep thought, he was trying to analyze the benefits of employing. And as if he had thought enough, he had already analyzed the benefits. He signed the CV. He was quite impressed by her educational status, he needed her to work in his company. However, her full name wasn't included in the document, her marital status, nor her age wasn't included,
Natasha drove to the kindergarten, she waited outside the school environs, her eyes gazing at her wrist watch every now and then. She gazed at the school entrance, a huge grin plastered across her face when she saw her two slim yet adorable twins running towards her. Their hair flowed as they ran towards her, when they saw her, she patted their heads in an adorable manner. "How was school?" She directly asked her twins with a smile. Niccy stared at nothing in particular, she rubbed her palms together and pointed indirectly at her twin brother. "Mother, Nikky got into a fight today at school," She yawned, trying to catch the look that was supposed to appear on her mother's face. Natasha was startled, with widened eyes, what has her son done now? He was always out casuing trouble, and sometimes, she wondered. Did her son really take over her? "What? Nikky, what did I always tell you?" Her tone was scolding enough, with her hands crossed together. The little boy seemed to rub his
Natasha tidied her son's backpack in a comfortable way before tidying his sister's bag. "We have to go now," She made an attempt to get up from the bench, squinted her eyes lightly and caught a figure that walked up to her. A figure she hasn't seen in years, a figure she hated so much, Alec's sister, what in the heck was she doing here? she boiled in anger, her eyes blaring with rage. She didn't want to see her, so she quickly gripped her children's hand and made an attempt to leave, but it was as if Alexis and her daughter were quick enough to walk up to them. "Hey, are you his mother?" Alexis pointed her hand to Nikky who now stared blankly at the woman. "Yes I am, did my son do anything?" She asked, nodding her head as she stared at Alexis. Thank goodness, this woman didn't recognize her, if her ex-husband couldn't recognize her, then what of this woman? "Your son here clearly insulted my daughter," She crossed her arms over her shoulders, demanding an answer from her. "Real
The next day, In another part of the city, in a flashy mansion, one of the rooms: a woman resided. The rooms were decorated with green floral carpets, the tiles were purely white giving it a classic expression. The curtains were made with exotic red lace, the fabric alone was worth a fortune. There were many items in the rooms, from the glass table that made the whole room appear more colorful. To the green couch placed adjacent the room, the exotics tables and the large TV screen that made it look more flashier. Seated on the couch was a middle aged woman, though there appeared some age lines on the corners of her face, the makeup she applied made her look more younger; though it didn't quite hide the age lines on her face. Her hands held the glass cup firmly, she sipped from the glass bit by bit glancing at her phone. Her manner attracted fashion, champing her lips together, she appeared more older from another point of view. Of course she could have anything she wanted with
Natasha's house boomed lousily with noise, the twins had just woken up and were getting ready for school. They were bickering at themselves over a small issue, Natasha smiled to herself as she watched them argue. Though they argued every second, the bond and love the twins shared was more than enough to know that they cared for each other greatly. Natasha converted her mind back to the dish she was serving, she placed them on the table. "Eat now," She said to them as she turned to leave, but Nikky grabbed her by the hand gently. "What about you, mother?" He asked tenderly, looking at her innocently. She ruffled his hair cutely, and she coaxed his head tenderly, "I wish I could, but I have work to do, eat now," She gazed at Niccy who now had her full concern on the food, she was exactly like her father, always calm but evil. And she worried for one thing, she didn't want her daughter to turn out like her father, she loved her daughter so much. She patted their head and went to
