Zoey eyes widened gently, she tried to speak, but the words wouldn't just come. Her throat hitched for thirst, and her eyes dazzled over to his dark face.

She could see it, his dark weather that they had been talking about. His cold voice ringing in her ears, dear Goodness, what in the hell happened to the Dexter she knew?

This Dexter was different, as if she didn't know him anymore, but that was right. He was way different now, the way he carried him, the way he spoke, it was like he was different and he didn't even existed in her world.
