Chapter 3; The interview

Natasha held his phone, "What?" Her eyelashes flutter in confusion.

"Since you lost your other job as a chef, I just found a new one." He almost shoved the phone to her face, but he lowered it, and tucked it back into her pockets.

"Really? What?" She was finally happy, after she lost her job two weeks ago, things had really been tough for her and the twins and now that Sky had found a job for her, she felt glad.

"Since you have a degree in business, the job won't be quite hard," He said. 

"Can you just tell me the job and stop keeping me in suspense?" She almost rolled her eyes looking at the dramatic display in front of her. 

"Okay, so, a new CEO had just brought the whole company , he resides abroad, but he's in the country now, he fired all the employees, and now, he's looking for new ones. To start up, his assistant." Sky explained.

"When's the interview?" She asked earnestly.

"Today." He palmed his lips together.

"Really?" Her eyes shone brightly.

"Yes, and the pay is quite good." He rubbed his hands together.

"That's a lot of money.'' Her eyes widened in surprise, as she reread the benefits over and over again. If she could work there for just a month, she could finally give her twins whatever they wanted.

"So, are you attending the interview?" He asked her, his deep alluring voice ringing into her ears.

"Yes," She stressed out the words, "I have to get ready and take the kids to school, then get dressed and leave for the interview." 

"I heard some news," He whispered, leaning in. "That the CEO is a handsome devil, some say he's stoic but hot."

Natasha rolled her eyes, "I am not ready to love again, not especially not after what Alec had done." 

His eyes turned dangerously cold all of a sudden, he really hated Alec after all that he had done to his sister, besides he hated rich people right from the very start! 

He watched his sister overcome the trauma from scratch, he was there for her whenever she needed him, her pregnancy times, he stood there for her, it was hard for him to, balancing on a scholarship in college.

After minutes, Nikky and Niccy came rushing down from the stairs, their lips were stained with chocolate, and Niccy's light floral gown flowed freely making them look adorable. 

"It's time for school," She said to them, she grabbed the towel from the kitchen rack and cleaned their lips. 

"Okay mother," They both said as they went to prepare themselves.

She gazed at Sky who was busy with his phone, she stared at him as he smiled to himself while typing on his keyboard. 

"Also, I signed for this dating app, oh, and you are going to get your dating life fixed. It's a mess." He laughs, Deep and coarse.

Her mouth formed an 'O', just then, the twins running to her. Niccy was dressed in her typical jeans strapped with her purple blouse.

"Didn't you comb your hair?" She asked Nikky. 

"I want mummy to do it," He pouted as he handed her the comb, she chuckled a bit before gently combing his hair. Pulling his dark-brown hair to and fro. 

They looked so cute, she couldn't help but pinch their face adoringly. 

"Mother, we are not babies anymore," Nikky reached his hands towards her, before he placed it in between his cheeks.

She knew they weren't babies anymore, she was just scared to admit the truth, and one day, she didn't want anyone to take them away from her.

"Okay, let's get to school now, we don't want to be late," She said to them as she grabbed their lunch boxes. 

"I will be leaving now, I will drop by some other time, bye," Sky got up, and slowly walked towards the door. 

"Uncle Sky, don't forget to bring more chocolates when you visit," Nikky said to him from behind.

Natasha drove them to their school, though she didn't have much money on her, she ensured that her kids went to a nice school. 

"Now cuties, Do not make any trouble at school, alright?" She turned particularly to Nikky, he was a very troublesome little boy. 

The twins nodded their heads as they ran inside the school. She smiled at their retreating figure. Her pale cheek glowing.

She then left for home, she got dressed in one of her business attire, her blue button down shirt, and her gray blazers.

She then drove off to the A&N conglomerate, she held her CV firmly in her arm as she sighed. 

She entered the company and sat down among those who were getting interviewed. 

Numerous sighs escaped her lips as she rubbed her palms together, she was having a silent prayer within. She really needed to secure this job, this was the only way she could ensure her kids happiness.
