Chapter 7: Meeting Alexis

Natasha tidied her son's backpack in a comfortable way before tidying his sister's bag.

"We have to go now," She made an attempt to get up from the bench, squinted her eyes lightly and caught a figure that walked up to her.

A figure she hasn't seen in years, a figure she hated so much, Alec's sister, what in the heck was she doing here? she boiled in anger, her eyes blaring with rage.

She didn't want to see her, so she quickly gripped her children's hand and made an attempt to leave, but it was as if Alexis and her daughter were quick enough to walk up to them.

"Hey, are you his mother?" Alexis pointed her hand to Nikky who now stared blankly at the woman.

"Yes I am, did my son do anything?" She asked, nodding her head as she stared at Alexis.

Thank goodness, this woman didn't recognize her, if her ex-husband couldn't recognize her, then what of this woman?

"Your son here clearly insulted my daughter," She crossed her arms over her shoulders, demanding an answer from her.

"Really?" Natasha didn't really wanted to cause any fight or so, "I am sorry for all of that,"

Alexis wasn't satisfied, she needed more pleading, she was a proud woman so she couldn't accept defeat that easily.

"Your son needs to apologize." She cringed her head to look at Nikky.

Nikky cringed his head in a horizontal manner, looking at her in a way it made her scoff.

"She started it first," He pointed her hands at her.

"Say sorry to her Nikky, that was not what I taught you," She stared at her son dangerously.

He rubbed his hands innocently, staring at her with widened eyes, even though he didn't want to, he just had to for his mother's sake.

"I am sorry, Emily," He just said sorry, it was clear enough to see that it wasn't from his heart.

Alexis eyed them before grabbing her daughter firmly, one stare at them, she seized them up with her eyes and left.

Natasha watched as she got in and zoomed off in her car, she sighed greatly.

"Let's go," She got up to leave.

At Home,

When they got home, the twins refreshed themselves and did their homework.

Natasha sat on the couch, her hands fiddling with her cell phone, clearly browsing the internet.

She rubbed her chins in great distress, too many surprises in one day, meeting her ex husband and meeting her ex-husband's sister.

She browsed about Alec on the internet, and it seemed a lot was going on.

The internet was flooding with comments about his lifestyle, and it seemed like he had changed a lot.

He was quite different now, she dropped the phone in anger, why in the heck was she even searching about him?

Why did she even care? She was angry, hence, she massaged her temples.

Was he married now? oh yeah, he was probably married to his heartthrob, Haylee.

Haylee, Haylee, Haylee, she didn't wanted to hear about neither of them.

Nikky crossed his arm over her shoulders with a cute face, "Mother, what is for dinner?"

She stared at her son. "Are you done with your homework?" She asked indirectly.

"Yes," He nodded his head, smiling broadly.

"I will prepare dinner now," She got up and made way to the kitchen.

She picked up the frying pan and placed it on the fire, breaking the eggs and putting it on the pan, she fried the eggs.

She prepared the salad and chopped it into pieces, and she cooked the beacon.

And when she was done, she set the table, giving space for the dishes. She cleaned the table well before calling her kids.

"Dinner is ready." She called them from upstairs, her twins rumbled down and sat down on the dining chair.

She sat adjacent to the twins, eating the food gently staring at her children as she watched them as they ate.

"So, what happened in school?" She asked, turning to look at Niccy.

"Nothing in particular," Niccy said, shoving the handful of food into her mouth, munching the food gently.

She smiled as they were all concerned about eating their food, she was only grateful for one reason; they never particularly asked for the whereabouts of the father.

After they were all done eating, Natasha cleared the table and did the dishes.

They all watched TV for quite some time, Natasha yawned, trying her best to stay awake, but it wasn't working.

"Time to go to bed, guys," She stood up from the three centered  couch and stretched her arms midway.

The twins weren't that satisfied, they wanted to know the ending of the film, but oh well.

They stood up and each went to the bathroom, their mother had taught them quite a lot, so they didn't need her to take their bath.

They came out of the bathroom and after changing into their night clothes, she tucked them in the bed.

"Tell us a fairy tale." Nikky waved his hands up in the air, pouting his face.

She pinched his face adorably, she sighed heavily, she just nodded her head, as she adjusted the blanket on his body.

"Go to sleep," She cozied him, and in a swift, as if he was obeying her every command, he closed his eyes.

Natasha tucked herself on the bed, adjusting her body to fit in the bed.

"I love you," She kissed their forehead with a large smile plastered on her face.
