Chapter 3

He hated two people most in his life: Mr. Leo, his father and Nadia, his stepmom.

Before his mother died, he knew Nadia as his father’s mistress and because of her, his father stayed outside late or spent a whole month without coming home, and whenever he came, his mother was his punching bag.

Because of lack of treatment and money for medicine, after three months of sickness, his mother died and his father didn't show up at the burial.

The next day of the burial, Nadia moved into the house as the legal wife, ruling his mother’s property any way she liked. And a few weeks later, she spread the news that his mother was a husband snatcher.

He lived his life in misery in nightmares and survived on his own because he wanted revenge.

For things to get better, so he would embrace himself and lay his hand on what he wanted, he traveled to America and trained himself to become a real man.

During the time he spent in America, his father didn't bother to look or search for him, and Nadia was also happy that everything would be her own and her son, Nikolai. And it surprised them to see him survive and come back two years ago.

After he returned to Russia, he claimed his mother’s property, and they gave him a little, 0.1 percent out of it. They thought he would run to them for help when he went bankrupt, but he didn't.

They planned many evils to fail his business, but he was strong, and succeeded more than they ever imagined.

Now, they wanted to partner with him, but he refused, and Nadia convinced his father to force a marriage on him.

That’s the story of Leo Dimitri, the CEO of D. Leo organization. The youngest billionaire in Russia. Every lady's dream.

Dimitri arrived at his office, he took off his coat and hung it. He walked to his seat and sat down.

In a casual white top and blue mini skirt, Natasha walked in with a file in her hand.

“Good morning, sir.” she bowed her head formally.

“Why are you here?” He asked without looking up at her.

Natasha was his staff, but team Nadia. She was a loyal dog to Nadia, because she employed her, and knowing Natasha was a spy, he warned her not to come to his office, and he employed another secretary, Anna.

“Sir, Mrs. Nadia ordered that you should sign this paper once you arrive.” Natasha dropped a file on the table.

“What’s it?” He raised his gaze to look at her.

“I am not sure.” She answered, looking away.

He drew the documents closer and, seeing the first page, he opened his mouth wide and continued opening.

After the last page, he smiled. “This old witch…”

“Tell her I am not signing this. This company is my birthright and I will not share with any fucking soul. I am not interested in partnerships.” He raised his voice, pushing the document at her.

“Sir!?” Natasha was surprised. Was Dimitri daring Nadia when he knew what she could do with just a flip of her fingers?

“Yes, you heard me right,” he raised his eyebrows authoritatively. “Take the document to her and tell her I am not signing it.”

Natasha was sluggish for some minutes, thinking he would reconcile and quickly sign it, and since he didn’t look like he would, she picked up the document and walked out of the office.

Getting out of the office, she took out her phone and dialed her master, Nadia’s, number.

“Good day, ma.” She bowed her head to Nadia’s absence.

“Good morning,” Nadia responded. “How is it? Has he signed the paper?”

“No ma,” she answered in a low voice, and Nadia laughed, devilishly.

“What should I do?” She asked.

“Nothing. I knew he wouldn't sign it. But I have another ready-made plan for him,” she snickered. “Just give me an update of everything that was happening. Let me know when anyone, even a fly, enters his office.”

“Okay, ma.” Natasha bowed her head, and waited patiently for ten seconds before Nadia ended the call herself. She didn’t want to hang up on her.

She returned the phone to her pocket and went to the third floor, because he chased her out of her office because of Anna.

←TEN MINUTES LATER→

Anna walked into his office, squeezing her hands on her back. “Sir, there is a change in plan.”

He looked up at her. “What happened?”

“Nadia called earlier to change your schedule for today because you have a blind date.” She explained and paused.

“When did she begin to control you?” He let out.

“No sir, I hung the call. But your dad called me and ordered that I should do as Nadia ordered.” She explained.

“So what happened now?” He pushed a question forward. “Have you canceled the meetings?”

She shook her head. “No sir. Your dad ordered that they shouldn’t allow you into the conference meeting when you arrive and Nikolai will represent you.”

He looked up with anger playing in his eyeballs. “Who is he to command me around?”

“What should I do, sir?” Anna asked.

“Just cancel the meetings. Nikolai can never represent me.” He ordered.

“Okay, but it’s already time for the date, sir.” She notified.

“I am not going.”

Anna bowed her head and walked out of the office.

He took out his phone from his pocket and read out a message from a number saved with- The old wizard.

“The lady is on her way. Make sure you get there on time…”

He didn’t bother to read the remaining line and replied, “I am not going. I am not a puppet you can order around. You have another son that always dances to your tune. You can order Nikolai to go.”

Before he could return the phone to his pocket, a message popped in from a number saved with- The old witch.

“Whether or not you like it, the wedding will happen soon. So, meeting the lady is your choice. You should decide whether you want to know her before the wedding or if you want a marriage with a total stranger.” He read the message.

“What does this woman think she is doing? Do I look like a toy she can experiment with?” He snickered. He returned the phone to his pocket, picked up his coat, and walked out angrily.

“Have you canceled the meetings?” He directed a question to Anna, and before she could answer, a message popped into Dimitri’s phone from a number saved with- Son of bitches.

“Why did you cancel the meetings that father ordered that I should represent you at?”

He hissed and returned the phone to his pocket.

“Where are you going, sir?” Anna asked.

“To our house. The old witch is planning a wedding for me…”

←LEO’S MANSION→

Dimitri got down from the car angrily and walked into the house in a flash.

He hit the aluminum door with his leg, and it caught the attention of people around him. He bited his lower lip, rounding his hands around his waist as he settled his eyes on Nadia from afar.

“What the fuck do you think you are doing!?” His voice of anger echoed the whole house.

Nadia wrinkled at the maids she was talking to, and they quickly bowed their heads and walked away.

He walked closer to her. “I am asking you what the fuck you are doing!”

“What the fuck does it look like I am doing?” She laughed hysterically. “I am doing something that will favor everyone.”

Looking at Nadia, he wished he could give her a punch in the face, but he did not dare do that.

“What will you gain from all this?” He asked in a low voice.

She chuckled. “What will I gain from your marriage? Obviously, nothing. It's not like I need a grandson or a narrow transfusion.”

“Then why are you doing this?” He queried.

“Because I love you. That’s why I am doing this for your best interest.” She smiled.

“What if I refuse to go on the date?” He raised a question.

Nidia walked to the chair and sat down. She picked up the glass of water. “It’s not a must you go. I just don’t want you to be a total stranger before marriage. That’s why I arranged it.”

“What if I refuse this marriage?” He raised his eyebrows.

“Then you are moving out of this house. I will disown you and take all the property from you.” His father’s threatening but low voice came from upstairs.

Mr. Leo walked down the stairs. “You don't have to do the wedding if you don’t need the property anymore. You just have to embrace yourself for the consequences.”

“Why are you doing this?” He asked in a low voice.

Getting disowned wasn’t the main issue. He had disowned his father before his mother’s death. But the only thing he didn’t want was Nidia having full control of his mom’s property. His mother owned everything they were spending.

“Because it’s what your mother willed,” Mr. Leo answered. “You can call her lawyer to testify. She wrote that I shouldn’t hand you any property unless you get married,”

“I only give you the company for a meantime, and you have till this weekend to get married or I will seize everything and you won’t have access to it till eternity. Even if you marry.” He threatened.

“Is this your plan?” He put his hands in his pockets.

“Yes.” Mr. Leo answered.

Dimitri filled the left side of his face with a smile and bent a little to the left. “Fine.”

He turned to walk out, but paused and turned back to Nidia. He fixed his eyes on her for a minute.

Nidia had eye contact and looked away from him.

He shook his head and walked out of the house.

“To where?” Anna asked. She knew he wouldn't want to go to the office.

“Just drive, please.” He got into the car and Anna drove out.

“Will this work out?” Mr. Leo asked, seeing Dimitri through the window.

“Yes. It will work as we planned. He wouldn’t want to lose his mother’s property.” Nidia smiled and emptied the glass of water.

“I will make him squirm in fear…”
