Chapter 20

A day passed and Meera and Noah didn't talk much. There was an invisible wall between them that no one else could see but they both could feel it too well. No conversations, no jokes or even eye contact between them. She'd just look outside or read something and he'd sit in a corner and not even try to talk to her cause he didn't want to be called irritating once again at least not by her. The doctor came for a check-up from time to time. Even he could feel the tension between them.

"Doc when will I be discharged ?" She asked when the doctor came for a checkup in the afternoon.

"Not till the end of this week." He answered and smiled at her. He knew that she wanted to get out of the hospital immediately.
