The moment I shut the wooden bedroom door behind me, my eyes trailed over to the door at the tail end of the dimly lit hallway. The door was shut tight, and since I got here, it has always remained that way.

Linda had pointed it out to Darren's room, which was off limits unless invited.

In the few days I've spent here, it was very clear that almost all the women I've stumbled on were smitten by the rogue king, who I presume didn't mind giving them the pleasure they desired.

My nose crinkled at the thought of his unending list of escapades.
