Chapter Twenty-four: Last Day

A violent nudge to my elbow had me jerk awake. Upon opening my eyes the first thing I saw was the annoyed face of Ryleigh, her eyebrows almost formed one line from creasing too much. Let me guess, I've been in a deep slumber and she's been waking me up for too long.

"Eto kape," wika niya at inilapag ang tasa ng kape sa lamesita malapit sa kama ko. Still half asleep, I jumped out of my bed almost carrying my limbs. I turned my slightly open eyes on the table and lifted the cup then smelled it. The aroma of caffeine ran down my nostrils. How much I love mornings and coffees. The smell still lingers. I was about to drink the coffee when I remember something. It's a memory of me drinking an awfully done coffee.

"What is this? If this is a caffeinated slug then I don't want it," I said and place the cup back on the table. I swear to myself na hindi na ulit ako titikim ng kape na 'yon. Iniisip ko pa lang ay parang masusuka na ako.
