Chapter Twenty-four

Elaine.

I yawned as I made my way downstairs. I was running a little late for work because I had trouble finding what to wear. This was an unusual struggle for me since denim and t-shirts were my go-to items, but after becoming Mrs. Dobre, the list of possibilities grew way past that.

I wore a pair of dark denim jeans and since I couldn't find a proper white shirt that wasn't of fine material, I grabbed one of Zack's t-shirts. It was a little loose on me, seeing that he had broader shoulders than me, but this was nothing that a little tucking in couldn't fix.

The only thing it couldn't fix though, was the scent of Zack's cologne, not that I minded. But I found it a little distracting. Since Zack was back on his work schedule, he wasn't around as usual on a weekday. He woke up really early and I'd follow suite two hours later.
