Raina's point of view

I’ve got to get out of here. Now.

Every second in this room feels like a noose tightening around my neck. The sight of Dorian… it’s a knife twisting deeper into the mistake I made.

And now… now I’m terrified this mistake might break me completely.

Not loyalty. Just power.I couldn’t breathe. Tears slipped down my cheeks, hot and merciless. Just when I thought I was finally tasting the sweetness of true love, the ground crumbled beneath me.Dorian, my Dorian had turned into a villain. He was using me. Just like the rest. Then why? I prayed to the goddess that she was. We managed to get the plate number, and I sent Luiz to track it down. It nearly shattered me to send him off, but I had to know she was safe.I couldn't ignore the gnawing doubt about Luiz’s recent behavior. Something felt off, but I couldn’t bring myself to believe he’d betray us so coldly. Still, the suspicion lingered, gnawing at me. With everyone after Raina, it could be anyone but the stakes felt high, and that made me think someone inside was pulling the strings.Once I get back to the palace, I’ll interrogate everyone, guards, maids, everyone. Raina's point of view I stirred awake slowly, my head pounding, vision swimming in and out of focus. My body felt like lead, every limb too weak to move, yet with sheer will, I forced myself upright. The air was heavy, suffocating. My eyes darted around the room, and a chill spread through me. It wasn’t just a room, it was a cage. The walls pressed in like they wanted to swallow me whole. This… this wasn’t the palace.Where in God’s name am I?Then the memory struck like a blade, me running out of the hotel, desperate, terrified… a hand, rough and merciless, clamping down on the back of my neck. The sharp sting of helplessness. Then the blackness.No. No, no, no.My chest tightened, my breath hitched.Fuck.I’ve been kidnapped.Who could be behind this? Why hadn’t anyone come to my aid? Griffin's point of view I buried my hands deep into my hair, tugging in frustration as guilt weighed heavily on my chest. Dropping onto the sofa, I could barely breathe under the pressure of it all.She was drunk last night?Goddammit!I had my suspicions. That’s why I tried to ask her, tried to make sure. But she looked me in the eye, swore she wasn’t drunk. And like a fool, I believed her.Her eyes… her question… they made me drop my guard, made me conclude she was sober. All I wanted was Raina, to have her, to keep her, to call her mine. That’s why I made her that promise… a promise I swore would never shatter: I wouldn’t break her heart. And I meant it. Every single word. Because for the first time in so long, I felt like I was one step away from reclaiming my dream bride. But then I watched her walk away. I knew she needed space to breathe, and so I let her go, even though every part of me screamed to run after her. She’s angry—furious—at me for sleeping with her. And damn it… s

Raina's point of view "I don’t want this contract to continue," Dorian said, his voice sharp but trembling underneath.I froze. My breath caught in my throat, my heart hammering so violently it hurt. Did I hear him right?"And… why?" I managed, though my voice cracked, disbelief flooding every syllable. We had an agreement. A deal sealed in words, promises, and consequences. Until it ended, we were bound; inseparably bound. So why now? Why would he even dare say this?My chest tightened as I whispered, almost pleading, "Of course this isn’t the time. You know it’s not. We’re still tied by that contract, Dorian… by everything."But he only sat there in silence, the weight of it pressing down on me like a storm.Frustration and fear twisted inside me as I stepped in front of him, forcing him to look at me. "Dorian, talk to me," I demanded, my voice breaking, my eyes searching his for answers. And then—suddenly—I saw it. The faintest curve of his lips, a smile he tried so desperately to
