He kissed me, then called me gross. Now I’m rich, famous… and desirable. Jace Weston shattered me in high school. Years later, he doesn’t even recognize me. But I remember everything, and I’m not here for closure. I’m here to make him fall...and break. Until one look… one touch… ruins everything. He ruined my life once, this time, I’ll ruin his, unless my heart betrays me first.

I wasn’t supposed to be here.
I'd never been to a high school party in my entire life, but my mom had no second thoughts when she shoved me out the door with a tight red dress and an impossible wish. "Go make some friends, honey."
So here I was. Standing infront the open door, with a copy of Pride and Prejudice in my hands. Yes, I brought a book to a party, I was that girl.
The moment I stepped through the door, the laughter started.
"Oh look, it’s Nosy Elsa," A girl with perfect curls and too much lip gloss sneered. And just like that, people laughed, fingers pointed, cameras clicked.
"Why is she even here, did she miss her way to the library?" Another girl asked, as the laughter continued. But I ignored them, and kept walking, my book clutched tightly to my chest, and my head down.
Then, boom... I bumped into something, or someone.
"Watch it, ugly," Laureen hissed, her mascaraed eyes narrowed at me.
Before I could even apologize, she snatched my inhaler from my nose and held it high above her head.
"Laureen, please..." I stammered, reaching up. "I... I need that."
"Oh, you need it?" she said mockingly, twirling it between her fingers like a toy. "Awwww, does little Nosy Elsa need her medicine?"
The crowd laughed, her friend Rose snatched the inhaler mid-air and tossed it across the room to Anna, another minion.
I gasped, my lungs were already tightening and my vision blurring.
"P... Please… I can't breathe." I dropped to my knees, the room spinning.
Rose laughter echoed, followed by another high-pitched sound, then a voice.
"Give it back. Now."
A shape moved toward me. Someone knelt beside me, pressing the inhaler to my nose.
"Breathe Elsa. You're okay. I'II get water." I recognized the voice instantly. It was Sarah, my neighbor and only friend.
Air rushed back to my lungs, so fast it burned. I blinked as the world slowly came back into focus. But the party hadn’t stopped.
I stood, my heart pounded, and my feet trembled. I just wanted to disappear.
So I ran through the living room, into the hallway, up the stairs. I didn’t know where I was going, I just needed away.
I found a corridor with a line of doors. Just hide, I told myself, just for the night. I grabbed the first doorknob and pushed it open...
And then I was pulled inside, the door slammed shut. Strong arms, muscles, and a scent of alcohol, was all I could make out through the darkness.
"I’ve been waiting for you all night," a low voice slurred near my ear.
I gasped at the electric current running through my body from that one contact. "Y... You’ve got the wrong..."
His lips crashed on mine.
The effect was immediate... My heart rate shot up, along with my body temperature, and somehow I found myself kissing him back, really kissing him.
My arms flung around his neck, and I grasped his hair within my hands for better access. His lips were delicious, and not fluffy, not dry at all, which I found very pleasing.
He gripped me harder, his lips rolling over mine in a way that felt like he was trying to own me... I felt owned.
His tongue slid against mine, playing with me, teasing me. And for a few reckless seconds, I wasn’t Nosy Elsa. I wasn’t the asthma girl. I was someone else...
I whimpered, when he bit my buttom lips. With his lips still on mine, he led me to the bed, hands everywhere.
Then... Thud.
My back arched from the force of the push. I opened my eyes to find my body lying on the cold floor.
"Gross,"
I looked up, and was met with strong masculine chest, angular jaw, pink kissable lips, blue eye...
Jace? I smack myself just to ensure I'm not dreaming.
Jace Freaking Weston. Quarterback of Dashling devils, golden boy of our school, and the last person I expected to see naked on a bed with me.
He pulled on his jeans, frowning. "And you’re…?"
"El... Elsa." I answered shyly, my cheeks red.
His expression twisted. "Shit. Elsa last night didn't happen."
I reached for the sheet, pulled it to my chest. "What...?"
He zipped his jeans. "I was drunk. It was dark. It felt like Laureen. Look.... Don’t tell anyone, alright? This never happened."
My throat tightened. "What...?"
"I mean it. If you breathe a word, I swear I’ll make senior year hell for you. Got it?"
I didn’t respond, I just nodded. My heart shattered, fresh tears spilling down my cheeks.
And... Then, he was gone. No goodbye kiss, no apology, just husky footsteps. Last night… was a mistake. And I was stupid enough to believe it meant something.
"What the hell, why didn’t you say that was the reason you were holding me so tightly?" I whisper-yelled, face flushed in shame, as I grabbed the dress holding it infront my naked body."If you weren't too much of a bitch, maybe I would have." Jace irritating voice drags me out of my thought. I bite down on every comeback screaming in my throat, now’s not the time."Can you please turn around?" I asked, and to my surprise, he actually did. Clutching the dress tightly around my arm, I rushed to the wardrobe corner, where I'd left my black dress. After minutes of wondering how I'm going to face Jace again, I slowly made my way back to the studio. He was still there, standing exactly where I left him, his back to me.I swallowed. "You can look now."He turned around quickly, that stupid smirk on his face. Great, if only the ground could swallow me this instant."So..." he began, his gaze dragging over me like I was still naked. I crossed my arms over my chest. I wasn’t in the mood to ta
The photo studio was packed; ring lights set, cameras flashing, stylists running around, adjusting clothes. I stood near the wardrobe section, making sure the dresses were perfect for today’s photoshoot. This was my first collaboration with West Modeling Agency, and I wanted everything to go smoothly.Just then, Maria, my manager rushed up breathless."What's wrong." I asked, cutting a loose thread from a blue satin gown."Lena's stuck in traffic. There's no one to model the final look."I didn't even blink. "I'II wear it.""But...""I said I’ll wear it."Minutes later, I was behind a curtain, squeezing into the tightest red carpet gown I’d ever designed. The zipper was halfway up and stuck. I twisted my arm, tugging harder, but it wouldn’t budge."Shit," I muttered under my breath, feeling the pressure. We barely had any time left.I held my breath, tried again... but it still wouldn’t move. "Maria, can you help me with the zipper?"A few minutes later, Maria walked over, and started
I didn’t know how long I sat on the edge of the bed, my eyes flicking to the clock every few minutes; midnight, one, two.Ethan hadn’t come home.He hadn’t replied my texts or returned my calls either. He was supposed to surprise me tonight, but here I was with nothing but an ache in my chest. I could guess why, of course. Work. It was always work.By morning, I felt strong arms wrap around my waist, my back pressing into something hardly. I blinked slowly, as I turned to find Ethan curled beside me, his breathing even, hair a mess. He looked peaceful, as if he hadn’t left me waiting all night again. As if feeling my gaze, his eyes fluttered open."Good morning, sunshine," he murmured, a sleepy smile tugging at his lips. And a dimple forming on his cheeks.I didn’t smile back. "I waited up for you."He sighed, rubbing weakly at his eyes. "I know, babe. I’m sorry. Work ran late... again. But once I close this next contract, I swear, you’ll have me all to yourself.""That’s what you alw
I was already halfway across the floor when I pulled out my phone to call Sarah. Yes? The same Sarah from highschool, we kept communicating even after I left. And in a few days she'll be coming over to pay me a visit. It felt so good to have someone familiar around.I flung my phone back in my purse, only to notice my wallet was no longer inside. Dammit. I must have taken it out after Ethan messaged me.I sighed and headed for the open elevator. But like always fate had other plans, just as I stepped in, Jace Weston did too. Of course, golden boy would show up after the deal was concluded. Our eyes locked. He was wearing a black silky short sleeved buttoned down. Muscles rippled beneath his half buttoned shirt, I could see the veins popping out of his arms. I didn't know how I managed to notice all this details without breaking eye contact, but somehow I did."Elsa, we meet again" He smirked, as he pressed the elevator button. I couldn't help but notice how muscular and tan his arms
The night after the gala, I woke up to an empty side of the bed. I rolled over and checked the clock, still before 7a.m."Good morning, sunshine." Ethan called from across the room, pulling on his tie in the mirror.I frowned, sitting up. "Where are you off to this early? Sneaking out on me again?"He pinched the bridge of his nose, and shook his head. "Work. You know how my boss is."I frowned, as I walked over to his side. "You barely have time for me anymore. It’s always work, work, work. You didn’t even stay until the end of last night’s award."He turned quickly, eyes sharp. "Speaking of awards, guess which agency reached out about you?"I gave him a look, one eyebrow raised higher than the other. "Is that your apology?"He pulled me closer to his chest, arms wrapped around my waist. "Not quite. But… I made some plans that’ll surprise you tonight."I felt heat rise to my cheeks, but I refused to smile. I was still mad. "Okay, so which agency?"He smiled. "Remember my friend from
I made it. Paris, fashion, fame. And... Tonight, every billboard in the city had my face on it, as I received the biggest award of my career. And best of all? I was in love. Ethan; my fiance. The sweetest man I’d ever known, would officially introduce me to his family. My cheeks flushed at the thought."Ten minutes to showtime," Maria, my manager called from behind the curtain.I took a deep breath. The models were lining up, my red dress hugged my body perfectly, everything was ready. Then, I felt warm arms slide around my waist. I turned quickly, and they he was; My Ethan; dressed in a navy blue tuxedo, his black hair styled back, slightly longer infront than at the edges, and that gorgeous smile I'd fallen for."You’ll do great, tonight," he whispered, as he kissed me softly. I smiled, with him everything felt easy."Come with me," he said. "There’s someone I want you to meet.""Your parents?" I asked, eyes wide with excitement. He laughed softly. "No, not tonight. My best friend f
