"Please listen to me just once!"

I almost cried in front of the doctor who was holding my arm. He was definitely going to take me to court.

"Talk about it later at the police station!" this doctor interrupted.

He didn't allow me to give even the slightest explanation.

"Just give me five minutes!"

I insisted, still begging for time.

"No way. Okay, I'd better just call the cops and they'll come force you,"

Yet he was more stubborn. He wouldn't give me a chance to defend myself here.

My hands were shaking. I was scared to death.

"Where's my cell phone? Cell phone... my cell phone," I asked in a panic.

When I stood up, my eyes started to go completely dark.

"Ahh!"

It couldn't be helped. It was probably caused by the accident I had.

So now I started to fall onto the sidewalk because of the dizziness and nausea I felt.

"Miss, are you okay?"

This doctor helped me stand up.

I saw his eyes widen. He must have been surprised to see me almost collapse.

"Please give me time to explain," I asked him again.

"Okay, if that's what you want, Miss."

Maybe because he saw my tears falling down my cheeks, he agreed.

"So you deliberately crashed your car just to get this man's attention?" I was a bit shocked.

I endured the pain in my heart when I heard a voice that was no longer foreign to my ears. Well, at this moment when I could barely breathe, he still couldn't stop accusing me.

Bima came, pushing his own wheelchair.

Maybe his private driver had brought him to this place.

The doctor removed his hands from my body and I immediately sat on the edge of the bed.

"Can't you see my head is in bandages, right? I almost fell down, and he helped me, so what?" I answered Bima.

"Your cell phone is on the table, Miss," this doctor told me.

"Ah, thank you," I said, then I headed to Bima with my phone in my hand. "Bima, you should listen to this directly, so you can understand me!" I said.

I rushed to contact Eve. As usual, Eve was always quick to answer my calls. I also turned on the loudspeaker so that Bima could hear it as well.

"How is Bima doing?" Eve asked, even though she had just connected with me.

I was curious. Why did she always ask about Bima through me and not from the man's mouth directly, when she was the perpetrator who gave Bima the illegal drug?

"What medicine did you give to Bima?" I asked Eve.

"What? What do you mean? Ah, of course, I will give you the best medicine to heal Bima's legs!" Eve answered, lying, and I smiled bitterly to hold back at that liar.

"I almost got arrested by the cops because of your illegal drugs, you damn bitch!"

I raised my tone because I was angry.

I didn't know why I was so emotional this time, but I really wanted to scream at her.

"Hmm, ouch!" Eve was even able to answer casually.

"Why did you give Bima a nerve agent, Eve?" I asked Eve.

"What? What are you doing? Don't slander me, you fool, bitch!" Again, Eve pretended to be a victim of accusations.

"So you think the doctor here is a liar, huh? I just had an accident and the hospital managed to find the medicine you gave Bima? Because you..."

"Don't tell Bima, I'll take care of this problem! Which hospital are you in right now?" Eve interrupted quickly, and she even admitted her damn action this time.

"But..."

"I said just follow my orders for your mother's sake!" She threatened me with an angry voice.

Then the call ended just like that, and I saw an aura of sadness on Bima's face.

The face that had been very angry when he looked at me seemed distracted, and he slowly moved closer to the doctor near me.

"Is what she said true?" Bima asked this doctor while I, who was increasingly stressed by their behavior, slowly massaged my very painful head.

Because I couldn't take it anymore, I started lying down.

That woman was freaking crazy.

"That's right. This medicine is very dangerous and is not sold carelessly. It is usually used to paralyze the nerves of hunted animals," the doctor answered.

I smiled in pain.

_That's right,_ I figured out Eve was psycho.

"Is it true?" Bima, who was stubborn, asked him again.

"Ah, hmm!" the doctor had already answered to make it sure. "Wait a minute!" He appeared to be reaching for his cell phone in his robe pocket. "Wait a minute, I'll answer this call first!"

"Hmm!" Bima answered with a nod.

He looked at me, who was lying and looking at him on the bed.

Our gazes met, but I quickly looked away.

No.

I didn't want to feel sorry for a human like him. A human who always insulted me and didn't even appreciate my sacrifices in the slightest. His mother too, his father too, his extended family too. They were all the same.

The fruit never falls far from the tree.

I started to hear the sound of Bima's wheelchair moving. I glanced at it for a moment, then suddenly I sat up.

"What would you do?" I asked Bima.

I was very surprised when Bima came and took the medicine Eva gave me.

"I need this medicine..." I was shocked at Bima. How could he be like this?

"That medicine, you know..."

"Shut up!" Bima swallowed the medicine. He didn't care about my ban.

Then, I covered my open mouth because I couldn't believe Bima's stupid behavior.

"You're freaking crazy, Bima!" I cursed him.

I was very annoyed and very angry, to be honest.

"Eve must have her own reasons to do this. Later, when she comes, I will ask her for an explanation. It's better for you not to interfere in our affairs," he said that to me.

Bima took all the medicines, then he moved out of my room.

Not long after he left, the doctor who had been treating my condition finally came.

"You'd better just rest for a few days here!" he said that, then started to leave with a slightly disappointed look on his face.

"When will I go to the police?" I asked.

"It's been handled. You don't have to go," he answered my question.

I knew who made it all happen. Eve surely could do everything just like a piece of cake.

"It's true," I said to make it sure.

He glanced at me for a moment.

"As long as you have money and position, all problems are easy to solve," he said again.

"Ah, yeah, I got it all,"

He went, leaving me still silent about everything that had happened. Actually, it wasn't surprising anymore because I was used to living in this crazy environment.

A crazy environment that started from my memories of my mother not wanting to leave my father, even though my father had cheated on her and committed domestic violence many times.

Mother even said, 'Dad will change one day, just be patient!'

What had changed, until I was 23 years old? My father was still the same. The only difference was that now he no longer beat my mother because of my contract with Eve, and for the sake of my devotion to her I was willing to go through this hellish marriage.

**_

For some reason I couldn't rest in peace because I thought about Bima's acute stupidity.

He already knew that the drug was dangerous, but for Eve's sake, he still wanted to take it.

In fact, it wouldn't be a loss for me to see him continue to suffer in a wheelchair and be tormented by not being able to move freely to look for Eve again, but the human nature that I had didn't seem to want to let that continue to happen.

"Tsk!"

I, who couldn't sleep, finally decided to walk out of the room, looking for fresh air outside the hospital.

The night had passed, the clock showed four in the morning.

The hospital was starting to get quiet and some of the lights in the corridors were off.

"Ahh!" Not long after I stepped out, I saw the doctor who had treated me walking out of his room.

Our gazes met each other. In less than a minute, he immediately looked away.

He walked behind me. It seemed like he didn't want to see me.

"Wait, Doc!" I called out suddenly.

The doctor stopped walking and looked at me.

He was silent and didn't speak anything to me.

"Do you agree that humans are the same as animals?" I asked him. Maybe he was a bit surprised.

"Which doctor agrees with that, Miss? Huh..." he answered with a heavy sigh.

He smiled sadly, a sign of disappointment. I knew what that meant.

Of course, there were also doctors who had the heart to do this, even if only a few, but I thought he wasn't one of them.

"Please, be humane, Doc!"

A fairly large flame is in front of my eyes.Mmmpphh! This is the way I do to stop him freaking towards me. "Why?" "You suddenly ask me like that, so it makes me curious, what makes you get this wonder?” said this man, He always gives me a gentle smile and I can't possibly suspect him of doing anything evil to me. If I think about it, what benefit am I to him, though? It is clear that he has far more wealth than me and I have no advantage over him. “Get me an answer, I want to know,” I said, a bit forcefully, “You often gave me your business card, right? You often provided job vacancies for me. You often came to see me even though I didn't care about you, you... wanted to help me win in court against my father, right all this time? You… tell me honestly what caused you to do all that to me and why you like me this much, Mister?” I look at Mister Farhan with my eyes full of seriousness. I get a little depressed when I hear what doctor Arlan just said.I am truly very confused and even questioned it to myself. Is it really me? What am supposed to make him right? “No, you’re wrong at all. I want a divorce, I want to do it for a long time. I never knew I loved him, anyway, so don't make it up!” "Because you don't realize that," Doctor Arlan said. I still don't believe it. I don't want to believe every sentence he says one bit. "My head hurts so much. I told you, I don't love him, then don’t. My answer is true, so please believe me!” I said.Thinking of it, I feel he really forces me to open up my mind and to me to accept the false reality. What I mean is, there are so many women surrounding you, then why did you choose me at all? Why not just pay someone else, though? And then, you... you definitely know the reason Mister Farhan likes me this much, right?" I feel a bit nervous when I ask him these questions. For some reason, I feel worried that he will lie to me, anyway. I have a bad feeling to be honest. "Are you sure you don't love your husband?" I flinch up and I feel I don't accept his q
