That Eve With Unreasonable Lies

From the beginning when we meet each other, Bima always insulted me. He said that my father was a disgusting cheat and the fruit never fell far from the tree. That fruit was me.

By the way, we lived in the same housing complex in the past and when we went to school, we were in the same high school as well.

However, I didn’t really know Bima, or be familiar with him. We were also in different classes, also in different majors.

It was just that he knew my father's bad behavior. My father was once an head in a housing complex’s office and once corrupted local residents' fees, also sold a resident's assets.

That was the begining of his hatred emerged towards my father and had an impact on me. For whatever reason, my father always escaped the law and that made his family stick to him.

"Tsk!"

The strange thing is that the more evil and cunning people are, the more willing other people are to approach them for profit and protection.

I hate living in an environment that thinks that bad people deserve to be business friends because they can provide big profits for the business of a certain group.

Whatever good I do will certainly not change Bima's view of me, unlike Eve. Even though I am a wife who has cared for and been married to him for more than two years, he trusts Eva more than me who is always by his side.

"So that you are Rima? Eve talks about you so much that I became curious."

So, he is Eve's husband? He looks like an old man, but surely he must be rich. Those jewelries he uses prove the reality.

"Oh, uhmm" I smile in response to his words.

A faint smile but my heart feels uneasy when I realize that Bima is still looking at me with red eyes.

"Uhm, Anyway, Eve says that you really like raising a lion, so she gave you paralytic medicine so that the lion could be tame. I wonder, how is it going? I wonder what it looks like," he asks me, shockingly.

I can only take a deep breath. What else lies is Eve making up?

"Dude, why don't you believe me?" Eve's voice sounds so spoiled towards her husband.

"I'm just curious, Babe. You even begged me to make the hospital where Rima is being treated keep their mouths shut."

"The lion is Rima's favorite and I don't want Rima to lose her pet. You saw for yourself how her father tortured her mother at that time, right? You can definitely feel how lonely Rima felt because her mother only gave attention to her father, so Dude, don’t ask it anymore? Rima must be burdened by your curiosity, am I right, Dear?”

The two of them are talking nonsense in front of me. Eva does lie after lie to deceive her husband.

Maybe the man believes in unreasonable lies. Since when are citizens here allowed to keep lions in home like in Saudi Arabia?

“Rima, I’m sorry because your beloved animal hurt you and want to see your condition. I hope we can meet one day,” said Eve’s husband.

“Hm!” Then I answer briefly, “I still want to rest, it’s still quite dark here.”

“Oh yeah... sorry for disturbing your rest time, Rima,” said her husband again very politely.

“Hm,” I answer him again. “Then I’ll hang up, okay?”

I end the video call between me and Eve

I glance slightly at Bima who is still looking at the cell phone I am holding on, then I quickly shift and I walk towards my room. Coincidentally my room and Bima’s room are close together because I have to be alert to guard that stupid man for all time
