MasukPiper
Six weeks later “Congratulations, Miss Piper. You’re six weeks pregnant.” The words echoed in my ears, hollow and distant, like they came from underwater. For a second, I thought I’d misheard her. The white walls of the doctor’s office seemed to tilt slightly, and my hands felt numb in my lap. I stared at her. “I’m… what?” The doctor offered a big smile. “You’re six weeks pregnant, ma’am. Congratulations. You have a little pup growing inside you.” A pup. Did she just say a pup? My brain froze on the word. “Miss Piper, are you okay?” she asked, but I couldn’t answer. The room had gone deathly silent. No one moved. Then, before I even realized what I was doing, I raised my hand and slapped myself hard. The sharp crack echoed through the room, and my cheek stung instantly. “Ma’am!” the doctor gasped, rushing toward me. “What on earth are you doing? You’ll hurt yourself!” I laughed. I couldn’t stop it. The sound burst out of me. “What the fuck… that slap fucking hurts,” I whispered between shaky breaths. “This isn’t a dream. This is real.” The doctor hesitated. “Y-yes, this is real. You’re really pregnant, Miss Piper.” The words hit me again, harder this time. “No,” I whispered, shaking my head as panic clawed up my throat. “No, this is impossible. This can’t be real. Please, check it again. You must have made a mistake.” I leaned forward, desperate. “Please, run another test. I’ll pay whatever you want, just run another test. Just tell me this is some kind of medical mistake.” The doctor sighed, her voice soft but firm. “There’s no mistake, Miss Piper. Besides, you came in because you suspected, didn’t you?” My heart pounded so hard I could feel it in my throat. She was right. That was why I came. Because deep down, I already knew I was pregnant. The nausea, the dizziness, the exhaustion. The damn morning sickness I kept pretending was food poisoning. And that stupid test I took at home, the one I threw straight in the trash because I couldn’t stand to look at it. I couldn’t believe it then, and I didn’t want to believe it now. There’s no way. No fucking way! It was just a one-night stand. One stupid, reckless night. I’d lost my virginity to a complete stranger because of those damn hormones, and now this? My throat closed up, and the room felt smaller by the second. I pressed my trembling hands to my face, the sting from the slap still there, reminding me this wasn’t a dream. The doctor cleared her throat softly. “There’s… another serious thing, Miss Piper.” I groaned and dropped my head into my hands. God, whatever she had to say couldn’t possibly be worse than finding out I was pregnant. Right? She shifted in her seat, looking uncomfortable. “You know you’re an omega, correct?” I lifted my head slowly, giving her a blank stare. “That’s not exactly breaking news, Doctor. Everyone in the pack knows I’m an omega.” She forced a small smile anyway. “The thing is, the child you’re carrying has an Alpha blood.” “A-and?” “The pup growing inside you, its father is an Alpha, and a powerful one at that,” she said carefully. “It’s more than what an Omega can handle. Honestly, it’s a miracle you’ve been able to carry an Alpha pup this far. I’ve never seen an Omega sustain one before.” Her words blurred together after that, something about biology, genetics, survival rates, but none of it registered. I just stared at her, frozen, and unable to speak. Finally, she cleared her throat. “Well… since you’re an Omega, Miss Piper, that means you’ll need additional nutrition to carry your pup safely.” “W-what kind of nutrition?” I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper. Her cheeks flushed a deep, burning red. “The nutrition I mean, Miss Piper, is the pup’s father’s semen,” she coughed, flustered. “You will need to, um… have regular sexual intercourse with the pup’s father to keep the pregnancy stable.” My mouth dropped open. I just stared at her. For a long moment, the room was utterly silent. “I’m sorry,” I said flatly, my voice trembling with disbelief. “You’re telling me that to keep this miracle Alpha pup alive, I have to—” “Maintain contact with the father, yes,” she interrupted quickly, as if saying it faster might make it sound less insane. “You have to sleep with the pup’s father at least three times a week, and he has to, you know… release inside you. It triggers hormones that keep the pup healthy and makes it easier for you to carry the child.” I sank back into my chair, my chest tight with panic. I didn’t even know what terrified me more, the fact that I was pregnant, or the fact that I had absolutely no idea who the father was. There were so many alphas at the party last night. Where would I start looking? I didn’t even know his name. “And if I don’t find the pup’s father?” I asked. The doctor sighed, eyes suddenly very serious. “If you don’t find him and try to carry this pregnancy on your own, you won’t just lose the pup, you could lose your life. For your life and the pup’s, you have to find him by all cost.”Piper My smile disappeared as I looked at Ryan in surprise. He cooked? The Ryan I remembered used to hate cooking.I couldn't remember him willingly stepping into a kitchen unless he absolutely had to, so hearing that he had cooked dinner was almost unbelievable.I eyed him suspiciously, trying to figure out what had happened to him while I wasn't looking. Ryan, however, remained completely calm, as though he didn't care what I was thinking about him. He simply stood there with that unreadable expression on his face, looking as though cooking an entire meal was the most ordinary thing in the world.Mrs. Calder smiled when she noticed my expression. "I was surprised too, but he made everything himself, and I must say, it smells wonderful. Come on, let's sit down and eat. The maids will bring everything to the table."She took my hand and led me toward the dining table, and I allowed myself to be pulled along without another word. She guided me to the chair beside hers, and I sat down,
PiperI entered the mansion with Charlie walking behind me, and as soon as I opened the door, I heard Mrs. Calder laughing from the living room. She was standing behind the counter with a wine glass in her hand, looking more relaxed than I had seen her in a while, while Ryan stood across from her with a neutral smile on his face as he said something that I couldn't quite hear from where I was standing. My eyes moved toward him, and I couldn't stop myself from taking in his familiar face. Even though I had already seen him this morning, I still couldn't deny that Ryan was really attractive. He had changed into more comfortable clothes, wearing a simple sweatshirt and pants, while his black hair fell messily over his forehead and partially covered his eyes. The moment I stepped into the room, his gaze found mine, almost as though his eyes naturally gravitated toward me no matter where I was.My body trembled for a second when our eyes met, but I quickly forced myself to snap out of it a
PiperI stepped out of the cab the moment it came to a stop and immediately went around to the trunk. After pulling my bike free, I dug into my pocket and handed the driver a bill without waiting for him to calculate anything. The old man smiled politely and started reaching into his pocket. “Thank you, miss. Let me just get your change—”“No need, sir,” I said quickly, already shaking my head. “I don’t need the change.”He paused, looking a little surprised. “Are you sure? It’s no trouble.”“Really,” I insisted, offering a small smile. “Keep it. Thank you for the ride.”I waved him off before he could argue further and pushed my bike toward the front gate. Taking a cab had been a last-minute decision, but I hadn’t had much of a choice. If I had tried to make the whole trip on my bike, I would have been late, and being late tonight was not an option. Ryan was already here. If I took too long, there was no telling what he might say or how much he might reveal. I had even considered tr
Dominic I could feel a particular stare on me.It was steady, focused, and far too intentional to be accidental, yet I didn’t look up. My eyes remained fixed on the documents spread neatly across my lap, scanning the dense lines of text. Outside, the road stretched dark and empty, the headlights cutting through the night as the vehicle moved.I flipped to the next page, the soft rustle of paper the only sound I made. Still without lifting my gaze, I tilted my head slightly to the side.“Are you going to stare at me through the mirror all night, Theodore?”There was clear amusement in my voice.“I always had a feeling you were into me,” I continued, turning another page. “I just never had solid proof until now. But you’re not even trying to hide it anymore. Do you want me that much, hmm?”I hummed lazily, the sound deep as it rolled through the interior of the car. The temperature seemed to drop by several degrees. Even the driver shifted almost imperceptibly in his seat, his shoulder
PiperThe entire place fell into a heavy silence. No one moved or spoke. Even the wind seemed to quiet for a moment. Hazel, who had been so eager to laugh and flirt only minutes ago, stood completely still with her lips pressed tightly together. She knew better than to open her mouth now. Staying close to powerful men had clearly taught her one important lesson, there were moments when silence was the only safe choice.Every alpha present turned their attention toward my father. I could see it in their eyes: they were waiting for him to lose control. They expected shouting, threats, maybe even a display of temper. Most men in his position would have reacted with anger when someone brought up a hidden bastard child in public. But Alpha Grant did none of those things. He simply looked at the man who had spoken, his expression calm and almost mildly interested. The corner of his mouth lifted in the faintest hint of a smile.“Is that so?” he said, his voice low. “Maybe we should talk abou
PiperMy father looked down at me.For a brief second, surprise flashed across his eyes. Then it vanished, replaced by something far colder. Anger. The kind of anger that looked like it wanted to destroy everything in its path. The sight of me standing there, dressed in the short caddie uniform, seemed to offend him on a personal level.I stared back at him without blinking. He hadn’t changed much. The same sharp features, the same cold, assessing eyes. The same look he had always given me, as if he were staring at an object he wanted to throw away, but still found some residual use for. Something disposable, and inconvenient. My expression didn’t change.I hated him. That was a simple, undeniable fact. Right now, I felt like a wolf who had finally found the one person it wanted to sink its teeth into… but couldn’t. Not yet. Maybe not ever. Still, there was one thing I would never allow, I would never let someone like him take the first bite. I would never let him affect me openly.Th
Piper I don’t even remember how many times I begged the doctor to redo the test. Three times? Four? Maybe more. Each time she sighed and shook her head, apologetic but firm, handing me the same result like a curse written in ink. Positive. Always the same word. By the time I finally walked out
PiperI tried to move, but something heavy pressed against my waist, keeping me pinned. I shifted again, frowning when it wouldn’t budge. What the hell?My eyes fluttered open, only to find myself face-to-face with a man.I jerked instinctively, but a sharp pain shot through my body, forcing a stra
PiperThe summit was being held in one of the alphas’ mansions. It made sense that visiting alphas from other packs would spend the night here, but I’d only arrived a few days ago. I barely knew anything about the pack, except Mrs. Caldrin’s house. After all, my mother had never stayed in one place
Piper I was in heat.It hit me so hard I could barely stand. My legs trembled beneath me, my breath coming in uneven bursts as the world tilted slightly. I tried to straighten up, and walk like nothing was wrong, but everything blurred. Not now. Please, not here.I forced myself forward, one shaky
