Alpha king Caden just spared her a look before he went back on his phone that had been beeping non stop since he sat with her. He felt he should have left the thing on his table so that he could at the very least pay attention to Madison. She was a puzzle to him, she says she doesn't want to marry him but she always wants to help one way or the other.

“I will eat Miss Roberts, just a little distracted. Plus I do not usually have lunch, I always have meetings at this time.” Alpha King Caden said to Madison a little absentmindedly as he was responding to a message on his phone.
