Pov Eleanor

Flashback off.

I was still lying on the cold, hard floor, unable to get up. My body didn't respond to my stimuli. My hearing was impaired, and I could only hear faint, distant noises. The smell of something rotten was unbearable, making me even more nauseous and wanting to vomit.

"So, is this it? Is this my end? I'm losing all my senses and becoming useless, unable to move without the help of people around me..." I whispered with trembling lips, a tear escaping my eyes. "I'd prefer death to living in a vegetative state like this, unable to move or take control of my own life," I grumbled in pain.

"Eleanor... darling, don't say nonsense..." I heard that soft, feminine voice calling me again.

"Who's there?" I asked nervously, my heart racing.

Every hair on my body stood on end. I felt a strong presence in my room, but I couldn't distinguish who it was. Although the voice was familiar, it filled me with fear.
