**Some Weeks Later: POV Eleanor**

"Eloise, please help me get up!" I grumbled weakly, rubbing my face.

I opened my eyes and didn't see the light of day once again. There was no difference between night and day or when I was sleeping, except for the strange dreams I’d been having lately, as if someone were trying to communicate with me. Perhaps it was the Moon Goddess. Every night, I longed to meet her again, hoping I could beg her to restore my vision before I went permanently blind.

“Keep your hopes up, Eleanor. The Alpha hasn’t returned from the hunt yet!” she said hopefully. “I’m sure this time he’ll manage to find the cure!” She smiled broadly. I placed my hands on Eloise’s face. It had been a long time since I could see her lovely angelic face. I only had a vague memory of her clear, innocent eyes. I often caressed her face to not forget her features.

Since losing my sight, touch had become my greatest ally. It was how I could "see" the hidden things in front of me or get a sligh
