Chapter 2

Marcus noticed this, he pushed her so hard that she hit her head on the item there. Her head became fuzzy at first but then pain followed. She didn't even scream.

Marcus then walked away. The person coming was the pack's maid. She looked at him with suspicious eyes. She then walked inside and saw that Selena was there bleeding from the head. She just hissed and took what she came to take and left.

Selena struggled and went back to her poor room, weakly. Her head and body were so heavy. Because of the weakness of her wolf, she couldn't heal fast like a normal wolf.

On her way she met her brother who is the pack's Beta now. He looked at her and shook his head.

Farrell was one who always ignored her. He never hit her like others do but he wouldn't talk to her. 

Selena bowed.

"Beta" she said and continued her walk.

"At least you will be free from the mating bond" he said and then walked away.

Selena paused and looked at his back.

 Did he just talk to her?

He never did.

Now it was the ceremony. 

Selena didn't wish to attend but she was forced to attend. She stood at a corner and watched.

The lycan King hasn't arrived. It was said by those he sent that they should continue with their ceremony that he would join them.

Hyrene was beaming with happiness. She had gone to Selena's room to taunt her and thank her for being the pack's trash. 

Selena was void of emotions at that time but now after Marcus kissed her, her heart has been hurt again. She knew Marcus intentionally did that to hurt her and she cursed him in her heart.

They did all the wedding rights, now it was turn for the Alpha to mark his Luna. Everyone was shouting happily. 

But Selena was preparing for the pain she is going to go through. She held her chest and was preparing herself.

Marcus looked at the corner where Selena was standing and a glint of wickedness showed in his eyes. Instead of him marking his bride straight, he kissed her first and that was where the pain started.

Selena moved closer to the wall as the pain hit her heart. Little did she know that the one coming next is nothing to be compared with the pain she's been feeling for years.

Immediately Marcus sunk his canines into Hyrene's neck, it was to Selena like a hot sword was pierced through her heart. She couldn't help but to scream out loud in pain.

Everyone looked in her direction and then saw that it was Selena who screamed, then they hissed and looked back at their Alpha and new Luna.

There was a big shout in the hall that it covered Selena's scream of pain.

Those who the lycan King sent were surprised at their behaviour. They looked at Selena who was rolling on the floor screaming out in pain and at this time she was already spitting out blood.

Selena's brother, the Beta saw her and he looked at one of the pack's guards. 

"Take her out," he said.

Two guards went to her and carried her and dumped her outside on the floor.

Selena's grandmother Alice, who was just coming for the wedding. She knew she had to come and take care of Selena. She didn't come to the wedding to celebrate with them. She didn't like any of them for the way they treated Selena but there was nothing she could do. That was her pack and family.

She saw Selena's body on the floor rolling in pain and she wept.

She carried Selena in her arms and carried her to her house in tears.

Today was the Alpha's wedding so it was a day to honour him. Not even cars were passing. Every stall was shut. So she had no choice but to carry her.

Although Selena is a lean one, her grandmother was still an old one. Selene also wasn't still. She was crying and holding her chest.

"Granny, it hurts so much. I just want to die" she cried out.

Her grandmother didn't know what to do other than to cry. She felt Marcus was too wicked. He could have at least rejected her before marking another and that would have reduced her pain. But then he chose to be very wicked.

The lycan King chose that time to pass by.
