Alsie POV-

Alpha Kordell addressed the group first, as he should, for now.

“Thank you all for meeting me here in Guesthouse 1. I know this isn’t the usual place for these types of meetings…”

“Yea, what’s going on Alpha?”

“This isn’t cool Alpha, where is Beta Jacob?”

“Is it true he’s in the cells? Is that why they’re closed off?”

Questions were flying in faster than the Alpha could breathe.

“Gentlemen, I will answer all of your questions, after I say what I called us all here to say,” Alpha Kordell said in his Alpha voice.

Finally, those traitorous bastards on the couches shut up.

“I gathered us here today to informally tell you that I will be stepping down as Alpha immediately.”

I immediately locked eyes with Wepwawet. I was looking for any kind of hint that he knew this was coming. This wasn’t supposed to happen yet, not until the 25th birthday celebration.
