LOGINLet’s Meet Sarah- Alsie POV-
I finally reach the station. I park my brand new 2025, black Range Rover, in the parking garage. I look like FED when I pull up to crime scenes in this thing. I not much for all the bells and whistles, but Osiris insisted that my vehicle had the best of everything when I purchased it. I don’t know why he cared, and I don’t know what half of this stuff is or what it does.
I parked my car, got out, locked the doors with the key FOB, and went to find my partner Sarah Johns. I was hoping and praying that Lt Dodson wouldn’t be on shift tonight. I hate that guy. He asks way too many questions about my personal life. He’s borderline inappropriate, aww who am I kidding, he wasn’t borderline, he is just plain inappropriate.
“Good evening, well I guess it’s actually good morning, Detective” I sigh a huge sigh of relief when Sgt Jacobson greets me.
“Hello Sarge. Yea, well under these circumstances I don’t think it’s a good anything.” I respond.
“You’re right about that Detective. This one is particularly weird. 1 dead, and a lot of animals, or I should say animal stuff.”
“Ok, anything else you can give me before I go find Sarah?” I ask.
“No forced entry, a couple of dead cats, big cats. Animal control has already come out and removed them. There were other animals in cages in the back storeroom. But those animals had been removed before we got here. We don’t know what those animals were, how long they had been here, or if they were here when this incident happened. The deceased was discovered in the back storeroom. Janitor called it in. That in of itself is interesting because the listed hours of operation are 7 days a week 6:00pm-4:30am.”
“Thank you, for the rundown. Yes, I agree the closure is interesting, but it may be completely irrelevant. As you and I both know, sometimes things look one way in the beginning and end up being absolutely of no help in the end. Do you have any idea why there would be exotic animals here?” I asked confused.
“Alsie, in that part of town, nothing surprises me anymore.”
With the more detailed info, I start to head towards the bunkroom to wake Sarah, so we can get in her cruiser and head over to Club 8
“Oh, hey Sarge!”
“Yea?”
“Why did animal control remove the cats before we cleared the scene?” I was a bit perplexed by this chain of events. But his answer knocked the wind out of me.
“They removed the cats because people here on scene were starting to ask questions and take pictures with their cell phones. The cats looked like black male lions, which is weird, but one of them appeared to have human like features, including poseable thumbs.”
OK, so Officer Randell wasn’t pulling my leg.
“Told you so Alsie-Alsie. Big cats, and thumbs.”
“It’s just Alsie, Detective Alsie. You do know there is a breed of cats with extra digits, right? They’re called polydactyl cats. Polydactyl means extra digits. It’s really, not that weird, uncommon, but not weird.”
Not going to lie, a big cat, bigger than a lion being a polydactyl is weird. But I’m not about to tell Office Randell that.
I head over to the bunkroom to wake Sarah, so we can get to the scene. I’ve never been to Club 8, never heard of it. That’s not to surprising seeing I live forever away from here.
I get to the bunkroom and as I was about to open the door, it opens, and Sarah walks out. She looks exhausted. Her light brown hair is pulled up in a messy bun, her sage green eyes are bloodshot, and her clothes are rumpled from sleeping.
“Hey Alsie.”
“Hey Sarah, you ready to go? We can take a few minutes if you need to.”
“I’m good. I’m going to go wash my face and brush my teeth, then we can head out.”
“OK sounds good to me. I’ll go downstairs and grab us a coffee from the cart outside. Lucinda was opening up her cart when I walked in.”
“That sounds amazing. Grab me a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel if she has one, please.”
“I got you partner. Don’t worry about it.”
I head down the stairs, through the security gate that separates the homicide bullpen from the rest of the squad, out the front door and to the coffee cart.
“Hey Lucinda, 2 of the usuals, make Sarah’s a 24oz, quad shot, and 2 bacon, egg, and cheese on everything’s please.”
“You got it Alsie. Did you two leave? You both seem to be working a lot.”
“I left for a few hours; Sarah bunked upstairs. These budget cuts have us stretched thin. It feels like we’re catching back to backs with no time for anything else. It would be nice if people quit killing each other.”
Lucinda hands me the two coffees and two bagels, just as Sarah starts to exit the building.
“You ready Als.” She takes the coffee from me and takes a huge gulp. “Aww, just what I needed. My cruiser is right around the corner. Let’s go.”
We walk around the corner to the secured lot, we badge in, and find Sarah’s cruiser.
“Why so quiet Als? Job got you down, missing home, missing your bed? I know I am. Thank goodness I’m not married. I see why cops have a horrible success rate in the marriage department. Children, forget about it.”
“Osiris kissed me as I was leaving.”
Sarah was taking another big gulp of her coffee when I said this she choked and spit her coffee out all at the same time.
“I’m sorry. WHAT??!! Wait. That big, tall, hot-ass, sexy man that came and took you to lunch last week, kissed you, as you were leaving for work after I spoke with you?”
“Umm, yes, but no. The guy who came for lunch last week was Evander, Osiris is his identical triplet brother. Osiris kissed me in my driveway, Evander was there in the driveway too. Well, all three of them were there in the driveway.”
“Screw this crime scene. I want to hear more of this story. Let me get this straight. There are 3 of those men walking around this earth, that all look like the one that came to have lunch with you. One of them kissed you tonight in your driveway and the other two watched.”
I laugh… hard at this summation of events. “Yeah Sarah, that’s pretty much how it went down. I went home, got a phone call from you, went to leave, three beautiful men where in my driveway and the eldest of the triplets kissed me. I don’t know why; I don’t know what to think about it. It happened.”
“One comes and takes you to lunch, another one kisses you out of the blue… is this some kind of triplet thing?”
All I could think was if you only knew Sarah. If you only knew.
Alsie POV-Dante and I moved into our bedroom through the adjoining door. Once inside Dante made me sit on the bed, he moved on the bed behind me and slowly massaged my neck, should, and back.“You’re really tight in between your shoulders, Cupcake.” Dante said as he kept working his magic fingers along my shoulder blades.“Dante, can I ask you something?” My chest started to tighten at the conversation I was about to have with one of my mates.“Anything. You know that.” Dante said in that cautious voice he gets when he knows he’s about to hear something he doesn’t want to.“Don’t get mad at me for asking what I’m about to ask, ok?”“I could never get mad at you, Cupcake. Ask away. Ask me anything.”“How would you feel, if after these pups are born, I go back on birth control, and we suppress the dormant pregnancy a little bit longer?”“Why?” Dante asked me, without a hint of anger in his voice, or coming through our bond. His fingers never stopping this wonderful massage he was givin
Alsie POV-I came back after using the restroom, and I returned to my chair.I sat down and Osiris brought me a bottle of water, “Talk.”“You’re pregnant.”“Yes. That is something I already know, how about you focus on what I don’t.” I said as I opened my water and drank.“Fine. I didn’t have anything to do with the Williamson thing. I know his family was responsible for the break-in at your place, but I don’t know why.” Jacob said.“All of that is not new information. We know that. Try again, I’m becoming impatient.”Jacob sighed, “Club 8.”My ears perked up when he said that, but I kept my face neutral, not wanting him to know this is the information I was most interested in.“Club 8 was running an exotic animal ring; the owners of the Club were working with an international smuggling operation. My job was providing security for the animals and making sure buyers got in and out of the area unscathed. I hired three warriors from this pack and one from a neighboring pack.”“Names.” Be
Alsie POV-Andrew slipped two fingers inside me, as he flicked his tongue over my swollen clit, another moan escaped my lips and then…[Sorry to interrupt you two, but we’ve got an issue. Pack Center in fifteen minutes.] Evander mind-linked both Andrew and me, breaking through our block.Andrew raised his head from between my legs, his eyes meeting mine, he pulled his fingers out of me, and my body instantly ached for him to return to what he was doing to me.“Fuck!” Andrew groaned as he stood up.I was still laying on my back, knees bent, legs open, trying to guess what was so important that Evander felt the need to interrupt us.“Here, Little Luna. Put these on and let’s get over to the Pack Center.” Andrew said as he handed me a pair of leggings, panties, and a T-shirt. I reached down and grabbed my bra from the floor.I begrudgingly got dressed. While Andrew got dressed, I mind-linked Benji.[Benji, what’s going on?][Lewis County Sheriff’s Department just completed a no-knock war
Alsie POV-After unbuttoning his jeans, Andrew stopped what he was doing and retreated to the bathroom. A few seconds later I heard water running in the tub. When Andrew exited the bathroom the smell of lavender wafted out behind him.Andrew walked over to me, put his hand out for me to take. I placed my hand in his and stood up. Andrew slowly undressed me. Starting with my shirt, pulling it off gently over my head, unclasping my bra letting it fall to the floor. Next, he hooked his fingers into the waistband of my leggings and slid them down to my ankles, picking each foot up one-by-one and removing my leggings from my body completely. I stood there in front of Andrew, naked except for my white cotton panties.Andrew reached over and with one quick move my panties fell to the floor.“Hey, I liked those ones, they were comfortable.” I said as I looked down at my torn panties on the floor.“I’ll buy you more.” Andrew said, never taking his eyes off me.Andrew leaned down and placed his
Alsie POV-Dr. Meadows sat on little stool, slack jawed, silent. After a few seconds, “Hey Doc, are you ok?” Dante asked through the phone.“Yes. Yes, I’m good. I wasn’t expecting that. I have some questions, but I don’t have time in my schedule today to explore this matter further. Alsie, let’s you up on the examine table and start the ultrasound.”As I climbed up on to the examination table, Dr. Meadows grabbed the ultrasound cart and brought it close to us. Dr. Meadows moved my shirt up to under my bra, pulled my waistband down and squirted the cool jelly-like substance on my round belly.Dr. Meadows turned on the speaker so we could hear the heart beats as she glided the ultrasound wand over me. “Good strong heartbeats, all of them. I like that. Everything appears to be moving along on time as expected.” Dr. Meadows said as she froze the screen and captured some still shots off all the pups.Dr. Meadows printed extra copies of the still frames, handed them to Andrew, and helped cl
Alsie POV- One month laterThings have been moving at a breakneck pace around the pack. The new Council of Pack had turned out to be one of the best things we could’ve ever implemented.BellaRose and her team did a deep dive into the pack finances and into the individual faction finances, the amount of embezzlement that was ongoing was insane. BellaRose put financial safeguards into place, including two-factor authentications so this will never happen again. Her and her team also gave us what we needed to keep the Governors in the cells until their trial.Natalie and the team she curated investigated workplace matters, safety concerns, and hazardous working conditions. They uncovered a slew of issues. The Council of Pack wrote up a workplace manual, proper ways to disclose workplace issues, and a whistleblower program. Pack members were being paid their rightful wages, no more unauthorized “taxes”, work schedules, promotions, and bonuses were based on performance not favoritism.Eli,
