My heart was pounding in my chest. I couldn’t help but wonder what was going through Luca’s head. It’s been days since the last time he talked to me. He’s been consumed in work, and hasn’t left his office. He told me not to leave the bedroom till Markus could find a healer. But I couldn’t take the silence anymore. Not to be close to him, to touch him or to even hear his voice was driving me insane. I stepped out of bed and into the shower. Alice pov. I look at my back in the mirror, with Luca marking me and licking my bruises till his mouth was dry, they have cleared up nicely. “ What is so important you are banging on our door at 5am in the gosh darn morning? This better be important!” She hissed. I giggled at her outburst of anger. Someone’s not a morning person, everyone found that out when Mathew, one of my guards did this exact same thing but got a shoe to the head and a door slammed in his face when he told her he just wanted to see if I was awake yet. “ Okay before you bite my head off Luna I brought coffee.” Elise held out a Starbucks cup of ice coffee to Alice with a nervous smile on her face. Lucas pov. I rubbed the bridge of my nose in frustration. My dad still goes by the rules that he had made when he was alpha. Once I took over at 16 he wasn’t a fan of all the changes I’ve made since then. But it took alot of me to not rip my fathers head off when he blankly disrespected my mate. She handled herself pretty well I will admit. I watched her storm out of the room after defending her place in this pack. Because we haven't had the Luna ceremony yet my father thinks she isn't safe completely around the pack.
