MasukALEXIS
Dyson had his hand gently placed on her lower back, guiding her inside like she belonged here. The entire table went silent for a second before Helena rose with a bright, genuine smile I had never seen her give me.
“Dyson, my son! You finally brought her,” Helena said warmly.
I couldn’t breathe, my hands started shaking under the table as I stared at the woman. Who was she? Why was she here on our anniversary?
Dyson cleared his throat, his expression was calm, almost… happy.
“Everyone, I want you to meet Mandy Delray,” he announced steadily. “My fated mate. The mate bond snapped into place a few weeks ago and as you can see… she’s carrying my child.”
At that moment his words became a truck that hit my head hard.
Fated mate.
Pregnant with his child.
The room erupted in joy. Helena clapped her hands together, beaming with pride. Clarissa, Denise, and Olivia rushed to hug Mandy, laughing and congratulating her like she was some kind of queen. While Mandy gave me a pitiful look.
“I’m really sorry about this, Alexis,” she said sweetly, but her eyes were cold. “I never wanted to cause any pain. It just… happened.”
“So you got pregnant before introducing yourself to the wife?” I asked quietly.
The room went silent and Mandy’s smile twitched faintly.
“Alexis,” Dyson warned.
“No, I’m serious,” I continued, forcing myself to look at her instead of breaking down. “You must have known about me.”
Mandy gently touched her bump. “The mate bond isn’t something anyone can control.”
I laughed softly, though it sounded more painful than amused. “Funny. Yet somehow I’m the only person expected to quietly accept humiliation tonight.”
Clarissa scoffed loudly. “Oh please, don’t start acting like a victim.”
I turned to her tiredly. “Then what exactly should I act like? Happy?”
Nobody answered me.
I couldn’t speak after that, my throat had closed up completely. I felt the baby kick hard inside me, but even that felt distant. My line of sight started closing off with unshed tears as I stared at Dyson, waiting, no— praying, for him to say this was some sick joke.
But he didn’t.
He simply pulled out a chair for Mandy and helped her sit down like a gentleman, something he rarely did for me anymore. Then he took his own seat at the head of the table, right beside her.
The dinner continued, they laughed happily, they talked about the baby. About how perfect this was for the Lecrae bloodline. She was a real Luna. A strong one, not a weak Omega like me.
At one point Helena smiled proudly at Mandy. “You’re exactly what this family needed.”
Clarissa nodded quickly. “Finally, someone worthy of standing beside our brother.”
Olivia smirked at me. “And the babies will definitely be strong.”
I slowly dropped my fork on the plate, the sound made everyone pause briefly.
I looked at them one after the other before speaking quietly. “You people are discussing my replacement while I’m still sitting here carrying his child.”
Denise shrugged carelessly. “Well… reality can be uncomfortable sometimes.”
I looked at Dyson again. “Are you really okay with this?”
For one second, guilt crossed his face. Then it disappeared. “Alexis,” he sighed. “Don’t create tension tonight.”
His answer hurt me more than anything else that had happened tonight. I sat there feeling like a ghost, pushing food around my plate, forcing myself not to cry. Every time Dyson touched Mandy’s hand or smiled at her I felt my heart break all over again.
This was supposed to be our night…our anniversary. Instead, I was watching my husband introduce the woman who had replaced me in our own home.
After dinner, when everyone had retired to their rooms, I finally found the courage to confront him in our bedroom.
“Dyson,” my voice came out hoarse. “Are you… are you going to divorce me?”
He turned to me with a confused frown, loosening his tie. “Divorce? Why would I do that?”
I stared at him in disbelief. “You brought your fated mate into our home. She’s pregnant with your child. You… you introduced her in front of everyone. What do you expect me to do?”
He sighed, rubbing his forehead like I was stressing him out again. “Alexis, you’re still my wife. Mandy is my fated mate. There’s no reason why both of you can’t live here peacefully. I can take care of both of you, the baby just needs a proper home.”
I let out a small laugh, but tears were already falling down my face. “Peacefully?”
He frowned slightly. “Yes.”
“You brought another pregnant woman into our house on our anniversary and announced her as your mate in front of your family.” I looked at him painfully. “And you think I should peacefully adjust?”
“Lower your voice,” he muttered.
“Why?” I asked shakily. “So nobody hears how badly you’re humiliating me?”
His expression hardened slightly. “You’re emotional right now.”
“Of course I’m emotional!” I snapped before lowering my voice again. “I’m your wife, Dyson.”
“And you still are,” he answered immediately. “Nobody is taking that away from you.”
I felt my heart split open. He truly didn’t understand what he had done. Or maybe he just didn’t care enough.
“You’re really asking me to share you? After everything?”
“Stop being dramatic,” he said softly, walking over to kiss my forehead, the same way he used to when he still loved me. “You know how important a fated mate is in our world. This doesn’t change the fact that you’re carrying my child too. We can make this work.”
I stepped back immediately after the kiss. For
the first time in years, his touch didn’t comfort me…it hurt me instead.
He left the room shortly after, saying he needed to check on Mandy.
I couldn’t hold it together anymore. I rushed into the bathroom, locked the door, and slid down to the cold floor.
My body shook violently as I cried and covered my mouth to muffle the sound, because I wasn’t going to give them the satisfaction of hearing me break down.
ALEXIS'S POVThe first thing I heard was the steady beeping of machines. Rhythmic and annoying machines. My eyelids felt like they had been glued shut. I forced them open, blinking my eyes slowly to adjust to the harsh white lights above me.A hospital room.I turned my head slowly, still feeling fuzzy and disoriented. A tall, handsome stranger leaned against the wall near the window, his arms were folded across his broad chest. He looked powerful in an expensive black shirt, he stood there watching me with calm but intense eyes. The same man I vaguely remembered from the roadside before everything went dark. Then seated right beside my bed, holding my hand tightly, was my mother. The moment her eyes met mine, she broke into a stream of tears.“Alexis… my baby!” she cried, kissing the back of my hand repeatedly. “Thank the goddess you’re awake. I was so scared.”I tried to speak but my throat felt dry, everything still felt like a dream to me. I looked around again, trying to piece
ALEXIS’S POV“Alexis!” Dyson’s voice filled with panic as he reached me first. He dropped to his knees beside me, his face had gone pale with fear and for the first time in months, I saw real terror in his eyes. “Oh my God… Alexis! Stay with me. What happened?!”He tried to lift me, but his hands were shaking as they touched my blood-soaked body. “Breathe, baby. Just breathe. I’m here. I’m right here.”Tears rolled down my cheeks. In that moment, despite everything, I still felt an ounce of hope in my heart, he came for me, he finally chose me. He still cared about me. I weakly reached out and grabbed onto his shirt with my bloody fingers.“Dyson…” I whispered hoarsely. “The baby… please… help our baby…”His pupils widened with fear as he looked at the blood. For one beautiful second, I believed he would stay. That the mate bond wouldn’t win this time. Then a loud scream ran through the mansion.“Ahhhhh! My hand! The baby!”Mandy stood near the kitchen entrance with a kitchen knife in
ALEXIS'S POVMy days in the house became one long, painful haze. I was drowning in exhaustion, both body and soul. At this point I was a stranger to sleep. Every night I lay in our big cold bed alone, listening to the distant murmurs and laughter coming from the other wing where Dyson now spent most of his time with Mandy. My pregnancy symptoms had grown worse under the constant stress. My back hurt constantly, my legs were swollen, and dizzy spells came without warning. Still, I kept moving. I kept trying. This morning was no different.I dragged myself out of bed at dawn, my head started spinning as I stood up. Black spots clouded my sight, but I held onto the wall until they cleared out. Dyson hadn’t come to bed again last night. The sheets on his side remained untouched and cold. I placed a trembling hand on my heavy belly, feeling the baby move weakly.“I’m sorry,” I whispered. “Mommy’s trying.”I made my way to the kitchen like every other morning. My hands moved on autopilot
ALEXIS'S POVThe days that followed after Mandy’s arrival were a series of nightmares I couldn’t wake up from.Mandy moved into the mansion the very next morning and within hours, the entire atmosphere changed. Helena and the sisters treated her like a precious jewel that had finally been delivered to them. They laughed with her, hugged her, and showered her with compliments. Meanwhile, I became even more invisible. The first thing Helena did that morning was lead Mandy into the dining room with a smile I had never once received from her in three years.“Sit here, sweetheart,” she said warmly while pulling out a chair for Mandy herself. “You shouldn’t be stressing yourself in your condition.”Clarissa immediately pushed the juice closer to Mandy. “Do you want oranges or cranberries? The baby might prefer one.”“Oh my God,” Olivia gasped dramatically. “She’s literally glowing. Brother’s real mate is actually so pretty.”Denise smirked at me over her cup. “Not everyone can relate.”Mand

ALEXIS'S POVI woke up before the first light of dawn crept into the sky, my lower back was already screaming in protest. At seven months pregnant, every time I moved, it felt like I was doing a chore, but I still forced myself out of bed. At this time everyone else was still asleep.I rubbed my swollen belly gently, feeling the baby kick lightly as I slipped into one of my oversized maternity dresses. The fabric stretched across my body, reminding me of how much I had changed. I used to be slim and graceful even for a low-ranking Omega. Now I was plus-sized, heavy, and slow. But it was worth it. I would do anything for Dyson and our family.“I know, baby,” I murmured softly to my stomach. “Mama’s trying.”Another kick touched my palm and despite everything, I smiled slightly.I made my way downstairs to the massive kitchen and started preparing breakfast like I did every morning. Eggs, bacon, fresh toast, pancakes, and fruit platters for the entire Lecrae family. My hands moved sw
