Maylea walked out the door, and I listened to her groaning as soon as she thought she was alone. She was a horrible swordsman, but she didn’t give up, which gave me hope. I could train her to fight. I could teach anyone, but they needed to have a strong mind.

Slowly, Maylea proved she wasn’t the weak human I thought her to be.
