"Thanks sir." The store owner smiled as she packaged the hamburger I had just bought. Handling it to me, she grinned. "Here. We hope to see you anytime soon."

I returned her smile, paid for the hamburger, then headed out of the place. Stepping out, I took in a deep sigh, tired. Grabbing my phone from the pocket of my trouser, I dialed Ethan's number. 

"Sup, man?" I greeted him first when he picked up. 

"Nothing much. You need something?" His voice cracked as he spoke. He was obviously chewing on something.

"Yeah. I want you to pick me up at the local food store Adrienne and I recently visited. I came here to get her her favorite burger. Do you mind coming?"

"Hmm, Mr. Lover," he teased, and chuckled. "No problem. I'll be on my way there."

"Thanks," I added, hung up.
