-SIENNA-

Matt stayed by my side the whole night. At some point, when I was cold, he covered me with a duvet. I thought that he'd leave afterward, but he came back to lie beside me. The fact that he slept next to me helped me a lot to ease the pain. Maybe because his body runs one hundred degrees and I didn't need my hot water bottle anymore. Or, probably, because he was so attentive and caring like no other guy I'd met before.

When I woke up in the morning, his side of the bed was cold and empty. I was already missing him when he came back with another cup of ginger tea and toast.

"How are you feeling?" he asked me as he handed me the cup. "I've brought some toast, but it's plain. I didn't know what to do, so I avoided butter and jam. And I ran out of maple syrup."

"I´m much better. Thanks for taking care of me yesterday. It was very sweet of you". I blush and take a sip of my tea to hide my face. "You don't have to babysit me anymore. I'm sure you have your secret Sunday ap

-CHRIS- "WHERE IS HE?" someone shouted from outside the conference room. After that meeting, I'll need to talk to someone about acoustics, as I specifically requested that this room be soundproofed. "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" The people outside could not know who the other person was, but I knew that voice very well. And before the commotion got any bigger, I decided to intervene. "Gentlemen, we unfortunately have to cut this meeting short. Please excuse me, as something came up. My assistant Ben will reach out to you to reschedule." I addressed the table, and they proceeded to leave the room. The last person had barely crossed the door frame when he barged in, two security guys from our company on his heels. "Hello uncle." I greeted him from my seat at the head of the mahogany table, refusing to stand up in his presence. "To what do I owe this surprise visit?" "Mr. Hayworth, do you know this man?" Owen Wilson, my head of security, asked me. He's a big guy, an ex-Marine

-NINA- “And your name is?” the administrative assistant asked me, assessing me up and down as I arrived at the office for my first day at Triad architects. She was a woman in her late thirties with short red hair and striking blue eyes. With her look of sneer, you'd think I was dressed in a sack of potatoes. I´m not. I put on my fanciest blouse, a cream-colored silk shirt with a big bow inlaid at the neck. I paired it with high-waist black tailored pants and pointed toe loafers. My normally wavy hair is now straight, which gives me a tidier look, and I used a minimal amount of make-up, just enough to hide my jet leg fatigue. I was feeling pretty confident about my physical appearance until meeting this fashion police officer here. "Carolina Benedetti. But you can call me Nina.” I answered her with a smile, trying to win her over. It didn't work. She didn't bother introducing herself to me. “I'll need a photo from you for your company ID card. Can you please lean against th

-NINA- “I can’t believe you are finally back!” Harper told me as she released me from her strong embrace. For a small woman, she can be quite vigorous. I had barely stepped over the threshold when she pulled me into a tight hug, squeezing the air out of my lungs. Her parents bought her the condo as a graduation present. It is a one-bedroom apartment, but has a lot of natural light, making it airy and welcoming. Harper is an interior designer and used her skills to improve the atmosphere. There are predominantly neutral tones like white, soft beige, with accents of black and natural wood. She used small pieces of furniture with clean lines, complemented with cushions and plants. I love her place. It's simple and very cozy. "I still don't understand why you didn't let me pick you up at the airport," she pouted. "You know why." I reasoned with her a lot of times. It didn't make any sense to spend that much time in traffic when her job kept her so busy. But Harper is very stub

-NINA- "The bags are finally arriving," Dwayne informs me as he comes beside me. "I don't understand how it takes so long to get them off the plane. We've been here for an hour." "It's probably because of the drugs, honey. They make the dogs sniff all the luggage before returning it to the passengers." Rhonda has an answer for everything. Most of them are not remotely true. The long waiting was not bothering me anymore. Hopefully, the bags of the executive passengers were already delivered, and they left the airport. My business class transgression will be completely forgotten. After running back to my seat, I managed to avoid the mystery man. It wasn't difficult to hide in the middle of some 300 passengers. The rest of my trip was spent sobering up and wondering what the hell had happened before. Now I just have to pick up my knockoff suitcase bought from a store in Milan and go home. Well, it's still technically Harper's home, but it will also be mine for a while.

-NINA- "Who? Me?" I feigned confusion to buy time. With the dim lights in the cabin, he probably can't see my face that well. Maybe I can escape this situation without the embarrassment of being kicked out of business class. "Yes, you! You were not here before." he insisted, whispering back. Because of the sleeping passengers, we're keeping our voices low. Finally, I turned my face to fully face him. Short dark hair, chiseled jaw, long nose and well-defined lips. Even in most darkness, I can see that he is incredibly attractive. "I was in another place nearby, but my seat was damaged, and I moved here." My gaze shifted involuntarily to the left. I'm a terrible liar. A ghost of a smile touched his lips. "No, you weren't. I would have noticed immediately if you were in business class. Unless this is a dream." He pinched his forearm and I couldn't help but notice how strong and muscular they were. "It's not a dream. Okay, I was in coach and snuck out of here to use the l

-NINA- "You smell incredible. Where have you been hiding all this time?" he whispered in my ear before planting open-mouthed kisses on the curve of my neck, his hand buried inside my long dark hair. His other hand was on my ribs, his thumb making small circles on the side of my breast. "Mhnnnnn," an involuntary low sound came from the back of my throat when he started fumbling with the waistband of my sweat. My heart is beating faster, a thrill running down my spine. My hands are balling in his light blue shirt. I wish I could rip it open and feel his skin under my palms. The tiny lavatory barely fits one person, let alone two. If you add the muscular 6–4-foot man towering over my curvy figure, it's a miracle of physics. "Oh, God. When his hand reached the hem of my panties, I couldn't remain quiet anymore. "Shhhh, I'm the only one who can hear your screams," he said, covering my mouth with his other hand. What am I doing? Fooling around with a guy I barely know at
