Will You Marry Me?

As Tere walked away from the room, Chezzal spun around and watched her leaving. He stared at her in stunned silence. Marry her? Marry Meryl? That was like a dream come true. But with Brishor as the king, his chances of marrying her were next to nil. Moreover, the royal crown needed an heir. Brishor hadn’t married anyone for thousands of years only because he wanted to be with his mate. Even though the queen had pressured him. At last, when he didn’t agree, she had asked Angus to marry and Angus had chosen Tere as his wife.

But now that Meryl had come into the picture, Chezzal was sure that Brishor would marry her. And frankly he was okay with the situation because he just wanted to stay with his mates. Mates were over marriage. It was like a connection no one could sever. It was basic and raw and etched in their souls.

Instead of going to the room
