Chapter 1: Almost Yours

Lexy’s POV

I was painting in my room. That’s what I do whenever my chest feels too full—happy, sad, angry, it doesn’t matter. If I get a free moment, I paint. Sadly, I don’t get many.

Once, I dreamed of art school. My dad called it a “stupid major.”

“You’re a werewolf, even if you’re wolfless,” he told me. “Think about the pack, not yourself. Study something useful—be a teacher, a nurse.”

So, to chase my dreams, I worked part-time after school, cleaning the pack house to save for an art school. At home, I cooked and scrubbed while everyone else claimed they were too busy.

My father, Jacob, is the Beta of Riverland Pack. My stepmother, Elizabeth, is his beta female. Both are always preoccupied with pack duties.

My half-sister, Samantha, never touched chores. She was their pride, a brilliant warrior, and also strong and beautiful. Dad never shut up about her:

“Samantha won another challenge.”

“She beat every female warrior.”

“Her wolf is stunning.”

Always Samantha. Never me.

I wasn’t abused. But I wasn’t loved either. Petite, wolfless, invisible. I tried warrior training, sweating and gasping until I thought I’d collapse, but I never shone like her. Dad said I lacked effort. The truth? I just wasn’t Samantha—and I didn’t want to be.

Elizabeth made sure I remembered I wasn’t her daughter. Just a mistake.

I looked like my real mother—ginger curls, green eyes, and delicate frame. She was an Omega, mated to my father during a pack visit, then rejected when he chose to stay with Elizabeth. Of course, Elizabeth was a strong beta, and my dad appreciated strength above all. My mother died, and I was left on their doorstep. This was a reminder of everything he didn’t want.

My wolf never came at eighteen. That day broke me. No wolf. No howl. No connection. Just emptiness.

But maybe the Moon Goddess pitied me. Because She gave me Leo.

The Alpha’s son. My mate.

When he came home from Alpha Academy, and our eyes met, I expected rejection. He was powerful, handsome, and destined to lead. I was wolfless. Instead, he smiled. Accepted me. Choose me.

He promised we’d announce our bond at his Alpha ascension—in three days. Three days, and I’d be Luna.

Tonight, we had a date.

I set down my brush, washed my paint-stained hands, and went downstairs. The house was quiet—my parents and Samantha were still gone.

Outside, Leo leaned against his car. When I climbed in, he kissed me quickly and flashed a grin.

“Hi, Lexy. You look stunning.”

Heat flushed my face. “Thank you,” I murmured, smoothing my plain grey tunic. There was not much to impress with, but it was all I had.

His eyes flicked over me, lingering a little too long. “You should let me buy you something nicer. You’ll be Luna soon. A Luna doesn’t wear… that.”

The words stung, though his tone was playful. I forced a smile. “I don’t need dresses. I’d rather save for the art school.”

He gave a short laugh. “You won’t have to worry about school once I’m Alpha. You’ll be busy enough as my Luna.”

I nodded, though something unsettled me. He made it sound like a promise. Or a warning.

He gestured toward the back seat. “Picnic?”

“Anything with you,” I said softly.

We drove to the riverbank, talking, laughing. His hand stayed on my thigh the entire ride.

The sun dipped low as we spread out a blanket and shared sandwiches.

“In three days, you’ll be mine forever,” he whispered, his eyes gleaming strangely.

Excitement fluttered in me. “I can’t wait to bear your mark,” I whispered back, blushing. “And your pups…”

That was all it took. His mouth crashed onto mine, hungry and urgent. The kiss was fierce, stealing my breath. My body melted against him, giving in as he eased me back onto the blanket. His weight covered me, his chest hard and warm above mine.

His lips traced fire down my throat, teeth grazing the tender spot where his mark would be. Pleasure shot through me like lightning. I couldn’t stop the small moan that escaped.

Leo’s hand found my breast, kneading, squeezing with growing insistence. Heat pooled low in my belly, my back arching against him. I wanted him—undeniable, I wanted him.

But another part of me panicked. Too soon. He promised me to wait till the mating ceremony.

“Leo…” My voice came out shaky as I caught his arm. “We should stop.”

He didn’t.

His mouth moved lower, hungry kisses against my collarbone. His hand slid down, fingers curling beneath the hem of my dress, pushing it higher and higher. My breath stuttered, my pulse wild.

“Come on, Lexy,” he whispered, his lips brushing my skin with every word. “We’re mates. You’re mine. Why wait? Your body already knows it—you want me.”

And he wasn’t wrong. My body was betraying me—heat flooding my core, thighs trembling under his touch, every nerve alive with sparks. My panties were already soaked, and when his fingers circled over the thin lace, slowly, teasing mercilessly, I nearly broke.

A soft moan slipped past my lips. My hips tilted against his hand, desperate for more, while my mind screamed to stop.

For one dangerous second, I almost gave in. Almost let desire drown me. Because I wanted him. I wanted to believe this was love.

But then his words echoed—you’re mine. Not we’re meant for each other. Not I love you. Just… mine.

The spell shattered.

“No.” My voice was sharper this time, breathless but firm. I pushed at his chest, my whole body shaking—not only from want, but from fear of how close I had come to losing control. “Leo, stop. We agreed to wait. You promised me.”

Something dark flashing in his eyes. For a heartbeat, he looked annoyed—angry, even. Then, as quickly as it came, it was gone, replaced by a wide smile.

“I’m sorry, baby,” he murmured, pulling me into his arms, kissing my temple. “You’re just too beautiful. I got carried away and lost control.”

I swallowed, my chest still heaving, heat fading into cold unease. I nodded, even though the knot in my stomach told me I shouldn’t.

“Let’s go home,” I whispered.

The drive back was silent, his hand gripping mine a little too firmly. His goodbye kiss lingered too long, more like a claim than affection.

When I stepped inside the empty house, my heart wouldn’t settle.

All my hapiness from earlier were gone.

Something wasn’t right.

Something felt… off.

It's so refreshing to see creatives, especially women who love to paint. I definitely relate, and I'm rooting for Lexi.

  • Drawing Her Fate: Luna's Redemption   Chapter 163: It Is a Girl

Alexandra’s POV“I am sorry, kitten,” muttered Sebastian, lying in the bed next to me and kissing my cheek. “I lost count of time.”His mouth moved to my jaw. “Now I am ready for some promised fun.”I giggled and whispered, “I will be back in a minute.”I used the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and combed my hair.“Now I am going—” I said in a sultry voice, approaching the bed and swaying my hips, but I did not finish the sentence as Sebastian was already asleep.I sighed and pulled the covers over him. He was exhausted. The doctor’s appointment was in two hours. I got dressed and went to paint on the balcony.I lost track of time, pulled fully into the world of paint and brushes.“Beautiful painting,” Sebastian startled me.I turned to find him standing at the balcony door in jeans and a simple black t-shirt, barefoot, holding a cup of coffee. His messy brown hair shone under the sunlight, accompanied by a wild grin.Irresistible. Gorgeous. Mine.My heart clenched. He would not be mine

  • Drawing Her Fate: Luna's Redemption   Chapter 162: The Weight of Hope

Alexandra’s POVSebastian's warm embrace—his support and the way he suppressed his fury just to comfort me—completely undid me. I leaned into his chest and began to sob quietly. It wasn't the loud, dramatic kind of crying; it was that exhausted, shaky breath you take when you're finally done holding it all together. Watching him scramble for answers hurt more than the curse itself. He was looking for a door to open, and all I could see was a brick wall."I’m sorry, I’m so sorry... I just didn't want to upset you. I wanted to enjoy my last few months with you," I mumbled into his shirt. He brushed my tears away with his finger and kissed my eyelids. "We will find a way to break this curse, Alex. Everything is going to be alright."I smiled and kissed him gently. I didn't want to object or argue with him. Deep down, I already knew I had lost this battle before it even began. This curse wasn't something that could be broken by sheer will, but I couldn't bring myself to crush his spirit.

  • Drawing Her Fate: Luna's Redemption   Chapter 161: The Ticking Clock

Sebastian's POV I was sitting in my study with Julian, reviewing new product proposals and some pack documents.Hours passed, the Omega arrived with snacks and drinks—we had worked straight through breakfast and lunch today. I closed the folders, rubbing the bridge of my nose before piling a plate high with sandwiches.“How is mated life, Alpha?” Julian asked with a wicked grin.“I feel bad that I’ve been buried in work these past weeks and haven't taken Alex on a honeymoon. We’ll definitely go after the birth. Otherwise, everything feels right… like she’s always been mine. However, Alex has started to act differently. I’m assuming it’s the pregnancy hormones,” I replied.Julian rolled his eyes. “Tell me about it. Samantha is always moody—craving weird food, crying one second and smiling the next. She's insatiable, too.”“No… It's not that. Alexandra acts like she’s hungry to live. She’s painting all night when inspiration hits, trying new classes, and picking up strange hobbies. On

  • Drawing Her Fate: Luna's Redemption   Chapter 160: No Regrets

Alexandra's POV Sebastian wanted to cancel the pack run since I couldn't shift due to the pregnancy, but I was the one who insisted on the traditional mating ceremony, so I wanted everything to be in order. I didn't want to kill the joy; the pack run means everything to werewolves.Since Samantha and Arabella couldn’t shift either, they stayed back with me while the pack ran, led by Sebastian. They were busy cracking jokes when a cloud of stardust suddenly appeared, and Marco and Briana stepped out of the haze.I could see a fresh mating mark on Briana’s neck and a glow of pure happiness in her eyes. Marco had a mark too, but his face didn't share that joy.“Congratulations on your mating!” I cheered. Briana beamed at me. “Thank you. And congratulations to you too, Luna Alexandra.”“Aim higher,” Arabella joked. “She’s a Crown Princess now.”“So is Brie,” Marco muttered. His words sounded like a cold statement of fact—no pride, no affection.“Alex, can I have a moment?” he asked. I no

  • Drawing Her Fate: Luna's Redemption   Chapter 159: One Blood, One Soul

Alexandra’s POV "Are you ready?" my dad asked, stepping into the room. His voice had a roughness to it I wasn't used to—a hint of real emotion that made my chest tighten. I turned slightly, glancing at my reflection. For a second, I didn't recognise the girl in the mirror. I watched the way the translucent layers of the skirt floated like a mist around me, looking so fragile, yet so intentional. My snow-white skin and vibrant ginger curls stood out against the warm, flowing fabric of the gown, and my emerald eyes looked wider, darker, reflecting a moment of quiet, terrified contemplation. The delicate tulle layers of the skirt seemed to glow from within, catching every flicker of light as if woven from stardust. I never wanted a big wedding gown. But Samantha had insisted, and looking at this ethereal masterpiece of champagne tulle, I was glad she did. The structured corset held me upright when my legs felt like lead, and the shimmering beadwork at my neckline felt like a suit

  • Drawing Her Fate: Luna's Redemption   Chapter 158: Joy on Borrowed Time

Alexandra’s POVMy mating ceremony was the next day and I was getting ready. Before I felt it was not a big deal, something that was bound to happen anyway, but now I decided to treasure this event, to slow down and feel every second of it, as I did not know how many more times I would have this experience with my mate. Lately, happiness felt fragile, like glass—beautiful, but one wrong move away from shattering. We agreed with Sebastian to announce the baby during the mating ceremony. It felt right, hopeful, like claiming life even when fate was trying to steal it from me.But Sebastian cancelled all his meetings and was just roaming around me, comforting me like a mother hen. His presence was constant, grounding, yet it carried an edge of worry he couldn’t fully hide. Every time I moved, his gaze followed, as if he feared the world itself might take me from him if he blinked.“What did bite Alpha today?” asked Samantha. “He is acting strangely. I know he is excited about tomorrow,
