I looked at the things that were spread on my bed. In preparation for today, I had prepared swim trunks, sunscreen, a pair of glasses, an umbrella, a towel and my phone. I nodded in approval, seeing that nothing needed to be added, and began to pack them up slowly.

I wasn't a fan of the beach. The people, the sand and annoying children. Ryan and Louis were waiting downstairs and despite being aware that I was taking my time, I low-key wanted them to change their mind and choose to hang out home instead.

Since I was usually being urged to rest up and let loose, a beach day didn't sound so bad. It also was a fun way to cool off so, I kept giving myself reasons on why this was a pretty good and beneficial arrangement.

My train of thought was disturbed by a knock on the door and I looked at it.

"If you're sleeping, I'll kill you," Louis threatened on the other side.

"I'm not," I answered and zipped my bag closed. "Is it too late to back out?"
