“An arcade?” Ava blinked in surprise, looking around at the place.

The lighting was low, and neon lights flashed from various points where different games were displayed.

When Kylan suggested they go out and do something fun, this wasn’t what she expected. She thought they would maybe go on a private cruise date or fancy restaurant.

“I just researched what young people in their early twenties love to do, and this came up,” Kylan replied airily. “If you don’t like it, we can do something else.”

“No, I love it,” Ava replied, her heart feeling warm at the effort he put in.

The last time she’d been to an arcade was when her mother was still alive, and she was very young back then… the memories were slowly fading as time went by.
